    6:27 I actually find driving manual extremely useful as a way to keep me awake and aware of my surroundings after a long day at work or if I’m too stressed about other matters. It forces you to keep your mind on the clutch, hills, downshift after each stop, etc!

      I own a manual car as well (not a type r) and I'm always keeping an eye on the opposite street stop lights when I'm at a stop light to know exactly when mine will turn green. This allows me to engage 1st gear just a sec before the light turns green.

    Glad to see you doing well Elias, car is beautiful! high quality edit and footage my friend! Even though I got a 11thgen sport 6mt, first thing i did get PPF the front end. Read way too much about how thin the paint is on these cars.

    Contrasting opinion: when I'm really tired or had a stressed out day at work; getting in the manual type r is truly a treat and had a fun factor that helps the day melt away. I get what you're saying though. Especially if that after work time means bumper to bumper traffic. That's not fun with a manual at the best of times lol.

    Ive been dailying mine since i got in April haha, I'm already near 19k miles
    50 miles one way to work of course haha+trips to gym+car is so fun i just wanna drive randomly too
    the small gas tank does get a bit annoying trying to plan where I'm going to go, but tbh I had the a spec integra 6mt before this, and that wasn't THAT much better. (still filling up 3x a week if not more; stretching the tank i could fill up twice a week instead, but would be pushing it)
    going to the integra type S damper module+18"s also make the ride more bearable for crappy roads like we have in NY as well haha

    You nailed the compromises, you did mention the paint, i put some front ppf on my fl5 type r. Honda paint is always suspect. I had a 93 “red” civic, that was closer shade of pink by the end of my tour with car. One other compromise, which is really a simple miss from honda, is the lack of garage door openers built in. I realize the car is built in Japan, so maybe not critical for world market?? But seems so easy to add.

    Hey Elias, I'm not going to switch to the FL5 since my FK8 is still so much fun to me. I just don't think the FL5 is worth nearly 20k more than the current one I own. But it's close to 6 years old now and I haven't had one problem yet, touch wood 🙂
    Take care and Peace! 👍💪✌

    Genuine question, do you feel like you need to upgrade to stage 3 acuity short shifter? I know that for the fl5 its not available yet but asking as I have an FK8 and on the fence to change my stage 2 acuity setup to stage 3. Just not sure if its worth it as its my daily. Since you already had the short shifter on your previous FK8, do you miss it? or did you miss the easiness/smoothness of the factory shifter and now happy with being back to stock form? Appreciate the response in advance!! I don't know if you have tried stage 2, but it def removed all the sloppiness of the OEM shifter and now it feels like how it should have been from factory, an OEM+ upgrade.

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  Місяць тому +1

      Honestly, the stage 2 is so damn good, I don’t think you’ll see much improvement going to the full setup. If you’re going to the track a ton, the crispiness helps, but on the street it can be a little distracting. If I were you I would not upgrade, hope it helps!

      @@FlyinGato Thank you soooo much for the reply! I thought I really was missing out on the full shifter but I am really happy with the stage 2 and you just confirmed that to me.

      I just bought a Integra Type S . Most things are the same. . My seat bottoms are very hard . Wish I had type R seats and red belts as I have the red interior. The thing that irks me the most is the gas tank cap . I had a 2018 accord Manuel 1.5 that always got 35 mpg . Losing over 100 miles per tank is noticeable. Love the car . Hard not to wind it up between 2nd and 3rd gear . Way over the speed limit at top of third .

    That front end looks so aggressive on the Type R. however, its rear end looks kind of boring.overall, the Type R is a sports car.

    • @TheBibleTruths7-h7r
      @TheBibleTruths7-h7r Місяць тому

      @FlyinGato ok, get the car clean and after the 1st coat of ceramic wait 24hrs then apply another thick coat after wiping off. Then another after 24hrs like 5days of thick coats after wiping with wet microfiber towel. After that wipe off daily no soap or car wash. You'll see the shine like brand new. It'll last almost a year but you still can put another coat whenever after that

    • @FlyinGato
      @FlyinGato  Місяць тому

      I think I’ll do this, then continue to put on more and more coats

    • @TheBibleTruths7-h7r
      @TheBibleTruths7-h7r Місяць тому

      @FlyinGato yea it'll keep swirls off and scratches and make it where dirt don't stick to it it'll be easy to keep clean. It'll take like 5mins to wipe off daily. I always get compliments and then I got custom wrap in my car red and black. The cloth you wipe the ceramic on with keep it clean. Use a separate microfiber towel that's wet to wipe first and daily
