great video and beautiful arrangement of a wonderful, beguiling number. i think your tangent on the lyrics as they relate to the songs arrangement and form are spot on... i feel like there's always a bit of mistrust of words in brian's work, or the sense that he really struggled to articulate with them what is felt so clearly in his music--the ineffable, mystical, divine, etc... the instrumental bridge coming out of those pleas to "listen"... woof! i've always pictured gustav klimt's "the kiss" in that moment; this meeting of the intimate (even sensual) and the spiritual / divine. i guess judee sill and brian wilson were onto something similar...
that's not what I was expecting and I'm better off for it. I didn't care much about the song before, and now I do (after re-listening to it a few times). Thanks a whole lot.
That’s not me has harmonies in it. Boms and aahs in the chorus. Especially second or third time . Don’t talk of course has that beautiful vocal outtake that is just Brian overdubbing himself 5 times.
This was amazing thanks addi
Best one yet ❤

Great arrangement
THANKS!
This reminds me of "Strange Parallel"
also it's so good
Really fun video, I like your approach to edutainment. There are shades of sesame street (I mean this as the highest praise)
By the way, yes Moby Dick is good. It's really good. Just keep in mind Ishamel isn't meant to be the most reliable or knowledgeable guy
One of my greatest childhood lamentations is not watching Sesame St. growing up. Probably just too many siblings arguing over what to watch.

ahh crap! Yeah you're right. Yes, that vocal stack demo is simply otherworldly.
@@addyd.3140loved the video. And you’re arrangement is lovely. Particularly like what you did with the right hand in the second verse.
@@danrobinson20 Thank you, friend, really appreciate the feedback!
