can you write the names of the games down somewhere? no need to be mysterious about the titles, I only ask because you yourself state you're pronouncing them wrong
@@ayrei1503"Fangame with x" isn't really a name. No need to link us to a pastebin for just the names. The links to the games are much appreciated tho!
One very funny thing with Chaos in Vesita is that because the game have level scalings, you cant really be over leveled but if you do solo with your starter for a majority of the game like i did ,you might get funny results like being level 120 at gym 6
Could you post the names of all the fangames mentioned and/or shown in the video? I'm unsure how to spell the names of some of them and would really appreciate it as you've convinced me to check all of them out 'u' Excited to see more content from you both on this channel and in Vanguard!
Just wanted to say I only first saw your videos a couple days ago, downloaded Vanguard, and I've put a CRAZY amount of time into it. It takes a lot for a fangame to really capture me, so thanks for an amazing game!
Only one i havent played is Legends of Arena, i didnt do a playthrough of Africanus on youtube because all the songs were copyright and it would of meant most of the videos would have had to be mute due to it
It does stink to try a new fangame, only to hit a brick wall partway through. By the time the next update rolls around, I've forgotten most of why I was invested, and it feels like the characters are speaking an entirely different language. Even the Pokemon in my party feel less like friends when I come back, already having forgotten why I had them to begin with. Pokemon Reborn had that effect on me before Episode 19 came out. Pokemon Tectonic -- while finished -- does not have a completed postgame, and as such the fate of the amazing main antagonist is left ambiguous. And by your recommendation I played Desolation, and now I'm worried about it potentially happening again; especially since I could barely follow the story in the latter half anyway. It never hurts to support a game, and I'm thankful to the people that _do_ play it early and motivate the creators to keep working. I just feel so unsatisfied when half the book I'm reading is blank, and I'm left with no closure
A shame Legends of the Arena had such a bad ending. I got the feeling WackyTurtle kind of wanted the project to be over and done with because the writing was phenomenal until the very last release where things felt rushed and ended on such a anticlimactic and unrewarding note. I still hope that someday WT returns to this project and releases some kind of "director's cut" for the final release chapter because things always felt unfinished to me.
Hello, I fully understand your feeling about how rushed events felt in the last chapter but I have to disagree about the ending. This endings made me feel sad, empty, maybe angry a bit too... but it seemed justified for me. The character we play throughout the game seemed out of touch with the events he lives, apathetic in a way. Finishing a fangame like this was for me a natural extension of the protagonist's mentality. However, I can understand my opinion isn't very popular.
@@eddvak484 I agree with you, honestly. I felt like the endings were fitting for the MC. My problem was more with the fact that it leaves a sequel hook that it's not going to be answered.
broi, been watching a few of your videos now and please write the name of the mods or even just SAY them in the video. You start each section jsut by going 'this game'. 'this mod'. Its like wtf are you talking about.
So, this is a horrible idea... But you should cover pokemon wack. By far the best worst fangame I've ever played. It has a special place in my heart for all the fun stuff that happened while it was still in development, all the secret hunting and such was really cool. Basically to sum it up, horrendous story that is so bad it becomes good and you honestly get kinda hyped for it, 4.8k pokemon with shitty ms paint sprites (many are fan submitted), 50+ types because why not, references fucking everywhere, a incredible amount of secret locations and quests that lead to certain pokemon (azathoth and gold experience requiem for example) and just a ton more wacky shit as the name would imply. It was made by a single dev and the wiki was so massive that the only way to reasonably create it was by someone setting up an ai to actually write it all down. Also some madlad ported it to pokemon showdown and although a good 50% of the moves don't actually work as intended it's still surprisingly playable. It's a complete dumpster fire of a game and I love it.
I have... an issue with the way you introduce Keishou. I wouldn't say that to most fangame "featurer" but as a fangame maker yourself you should know better : These features you praise, the overworld encounters, the tera, the crafting system... These are community plugins. Don't get me wrong they're great! I just feel like there is something off in advertising a game through features that were neither made by the game team nor for the game itself specifically. Not only it is someone else's work and it can be a source of joy but not pride, but also it's unfair to other games that does or will use these same plugins. There will be a comparison where it shouldn't, and the most unfortunate outcome would be fangames that give up on these nice features because they don't want to "imitate" Keishou (or any other game, it's not about/against Keishou specifically). Just a piece of thought about a very specific case. Don't take it too strongly, you're doing great 😊
I actually disagree with this, this video is mainly meant for people looking for a game to play, not other developers. If someone thinks: oh id enjoy a gamr with crafting system, then its a plus for them, not a signal for other developers: this idea is no longer original. Besides, anyone who is really making a fangame will know that these are public plugins
@@casper4263appart for the very end, I was definitely talking about players, not developers. The (major) kind of players who are looking for originality, and are sold originality, where it's not. That, specifically, was my point. It's features, and it's good ones, it's just not theirs. And as I also said it's not a bad thing, it's just not the best way to introduce it. Theorical people theorically complaining about it leading to a theorical removal from theorical games by their theorical disappointed developers was one half of a sentence clearly identified as a worst case scenario. You're not disagreeing, actually. You just missed the point.

Chaos in Vesita developer here! Thanks so much for attention to my game :D Awesome video!
Chaos in Vesita mastered that battle aesthetic that i have been eager to see in fangames so far, smooth and dynamic
Legends of the Arena mentioned. Many people have to know about that one, it's very good.
What's the game with mudkip and geodude?

Thanks for all your hard work Ayrei!
