The Nigerians generally coming to the United States are in the top percentile of their community in Nigeria. They then come over and compare themselves to just the basic Black American walking down the street. It’s no different than a Black American, who retired from the fire department, with a fireman’s government pension, moving to Nigeria and comparing himself to just the average Nigerian citizen.
