Smoking Summertime Smallies with DeeDee & Mosquito Mike

DeeDee is back this time! She talked me into taking her smallmouth bass fishing on one of our days off. We did a stretch of the Shenandoah River Southern Fork that I wasn't familiar with. We used my Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 for a kayak to share for the day. There was what I would consider alot of traffic on this stretch of the river this day due to there being a very nice ramp where we launched & there being an outfitter right there. that being said we were still able to put together nice catches using 90 sized whopper ploppers both in loon color. We also got to see the rainbow & somehow managed to avoid being down poured on which made it a really nice afternoon on the river for us. We just paddled up the river & waded a bit & floated back down due to only taking one car. Smallmouth bass is so much fun !!
