I remember Kamini Kaushal from early sixties when she used to visit her brother's family living across our Government flat in Delhi. She sometimes came out of the house to take short walks and we as teenagers were so impressed with her elegance and beauty (she is still so elegant and beautiful in this interview). Then came her Parag days and how she improved this children's magazine with so much creativity. The short children's stories, some characters based on her two nephews were so charming. She was unassuming then as she is now. May we continue to see more of her, if not on TV or movies, then at least on UA-cam.

As I observed, she is hilarious lady and love to make fun. Again in films her attitide was restricted. Her family has given permission, but she knows the limits considering her family etiquates. As she said in the interview that she seldom worked late night in studios. The interviewer himself was slightly confused, and she also wanted the charm of the interview remain and for that she profusely smiles and take little jokes. What a reserve lady!
I was expecting her experiences with other actors, actresses, directors, producers etc. Somewhat disappointing but did enjoy what she had to say since I had seen most of her films and admired her!
This interview I found was not so interesting because she is talking about only her puppet show and her puppet films. The interviewer could not talk about the music, singers, movie actors and the relationship between actors of that era. She might have wealth of information. This is totally an opportunity lost.

I just read, there was love-affair between her and Mr. Dilip Kumar, She is so lovely that anybody could fall in love with her. Alright, here are my comments again: Kamini Kaushal bored me with her replies. Information was difficult to extract out of her. She is one of those people who are unable to provide information in a precise and direct way. Irfan sahib is a great interviewer, but he should try and be a little less patient with his interviewees when they get side-tracked by memories and descriptions which are not relevant to the questions asked. He should bring them directly back to a question asked when they wander off with unnecessarily lengthy replies. UA-cam viewers want the anchor to extract as much information as quickly as possible from these erstwhile film personalities. How come we never got to hear about the milestone films of her (Ziddi with Dev Anand, and more than a couple with Dilip Kumar?). Also why is it regarded as ''sacrosanct'' to ask these actors and actresses about their love affairs? Or about their hobbies (if they have any) such as gardeninng, reading books etc.). It would also be interesting to ask them about other actors and film directors and other films in which they have not worked. I would have asked her clear-cut precise question like "And what do you think of some outstanding films of your era?'' What are the best songs of Lata that you like?'' "Are you a reader of books?'', What books do you read, who are your favorite authors". What do you think of the new wave of films which are tackling realism in a new and refreshing way now?'' etc., etc. Don't you think Irfan sahib that your interviews would then become more interesting for us viewers?
I may appreciate your acting and this the only reason i watch your many films but i do not appreciate the way you are talking to any interviews , because in any interview you talk about only yourself and your family, that is to me that you claim how great is your family, it is not good type of personality, where as actor Dilip Kumar is such a great actor, he never said that he is great actor, he always kept himself very low profile, he is famous all over the world ,just like ELVIS PRESLEY HAD SAME PERSONALITY LIKE DILIP KUMAR, HE DIED 40 YEARS AGO BUT STILL WHOLE WORLD LIKE HIM WITH THEIR HEART.
