Hey Guys! I’ve got a bunch of small, budget friend outdoor projects & yard work to share with you today! I hope this gives you all of the motivation you need to tackle some projects around your own home! 💛💛💛
The big green plant would do better in a shady spot,if it feels moist all the time ,it dosen,t need water, but the plants with the blooms need alot of water
Those flowers behind your left shoulder at the end really perked up overnight after you watered them! Your front yard looks great! And Derrick did a great job trimming those bushes! Love all your videos, Megan! Thanks for the inspiration and motivation!
I am so sorry I have not been on UA-cam in 3 days I am staying at my daughter’s home dog sitting. I am so happy to see you back home and sharing projects❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just want to thank you for your videos they have helped me so much especially through this hard time my son is currently in the hospital and had to be put on a feeding tube at a month old he was struggling to gain his birth weight back things are looking up now and we're getting back on track but your videos have helped me so much just to take a minute and relax and just watch your videos and just not have to think about everything crazy going on around me so I just wanted to thank you for putting out awesome content
You are not crazy! Sensory issues are completely normal! My nails have to be a certain length or I go insane and my toe nails are even worse. I do go get my nails done every month though and it really helps me. I also can’t stand gloves on my hands. My family does think I’m strange though because I go nuts whenever anyone touches my back. Whenever anyone touches my back it feels like spiders are crawling on it. LOVE the front porch refresh, it is inspiring me to clean up ours.
It's so beautiful. Only one suggestion, pull your pots in front out from under the edge of the house so they get the rain. Also, the morning sun really gets to them, so give them lots of water! Great job Loving Life as Megan!
I'm Proud of You Megan 👏👏💪💪 I Appreciate Your Hard Work you doing every Corner of the House 🏡🤗🤗 And It's Interesting to see Megan Uses Megan Products 😅😅 Hopefully One Day You Launch Your own Products Line👍👍👍🙌🙌🙌
That is Hosta you planted. Mine get huge. I've had to dig them up and split them before. Love your clean front porch. I love to pressure wash. It's so satisfying
Hi Megan!! I love love love your outdoor makeover videos! Hoping you don’t mind me making a suggestion…. If nobody has mentioned it yet, but to clean your porch, stairs, sidewalks, driveways and other flat areas like that… you need to get an attachment for your pressure washer called a “surface washer” they are a available on Amazon and all your local home improvement stores. Honestly you can’t do the flat cement surface areas without this attachment as it will take you forever just to get a very small area partially clean. You will notice a HUGE difference when using the surface cleaner attachment! There are videos on UA-cam to show you how to use it! Hope this helps! Thank you for all your amazing content!
Hi Megan! Loved this video! You don't have to apologize for your sensory issues, we love you just the way you are!! Everyone has something that triggers sensory bells. Enjoy your summer!!
I bought Love Meg cleaner, love it, clean kitchen and all over the house just so I can smell it lol but it smells so good and really works. I love the flowers you picked out. Pressure washing is hard.
If Derek reseeds the lawn, think ahead and put down a watering system, it helped a LOT with keeping our lawn nice and during the reseeding helped with keepin the seeds hydrated (y) also nice job :)
Real life video that I can really relate to. I enjoy you so much. I just starting following you since I saw you on Katie’s organizing videos. I love your spirit!
It is so satisfying watching power washing. I love power washing things but it is so exhausting after awhile. I have read and listened to tons of reviews on the Love Meg spray cleaner and it was 50/50 but listening and watching your review makes me want to try it. I do feel it is crazy over priced though. If I really like it, unfortunately I would be hesitant to repurchase it because it is so expensive for a cleaning product. Your front porch looks awesome ad I can’t wait for the back porch makeover. 🤩
That plant is called ELEPHANT EARS - they grow from bulbs. Just cut or gently pull off the really yellowed leaves and keep it watered and it’ll be ok. Hopefully it’ll come back for years; I know Elephant Ears planted in the ground come back every year.
@@lovinglifeasmegan many people plant them in the ground - when it starts getting cold, they are cut back - the next spring they sprout again. If they are in a pot, yes they can be brought inside - they need BRIGHT light to survive as well.
Megan love love how nice your home looks ❤ beautiful plants!!!! I agree with you about dirt under our fingernails.. You both worked hard and the results are beautiful!!!!!!! Lots of hugs!!!!
You did a good job, just remember not to walk backwards with the wand. Keep it in the direction your going, this really helps from kicking dirt back on the area that just got cleaned. I hope you can understood what I’m was trying to say.😁 I love my power washer, especially when it comes to washing windows and vehicles! Correction: Y’all did good 👍🏼
I too have sensory issue with my finger nails. I can’t stand polish on my nails also hate hand lotion. You described it perfect it feels like my hands can’t breathe. You are not alone!
As you've already said that you're not a plant mom, so when you water make sure you saturate those pots. It will go a long way in keeping your plants alive, especially in the heat. Your front porch space is just adorable and so inviting...great job!=)
No, you are not alone with sensory issues! I think everyone has "something" that makes their skin crawl. For my husband it is a particular fabric - that wind breaker material. He cannot stand the feel or sound of it. It literally twists him up inside if that happens LOL. On another note, the yard looks great! Very motivating to watch this, as we just bought a house and can't wait to get our landscaping going.
The plant behind the basil is an elephant ear! It’s one of my favorite plants! Elephant ears love water! The plant u have in the front that’s peeking through is a hosta. Depending on light and water it can stunt them from popping up when others do. They are almost like little bulbs under ground that shoot out the roots for the plant. Being that ur other hosta came up, this one should thrive too but may take a bit to establish those solid roots underground. Also! As they get bigger each year u can dig them up and split them to make more plants for ur yard.
@@lovinglifeasmegan I think they all will survive. Hostas and elephant ears like water, so make sure they get watered regularly and u should be good to go with them! I water mine every other day if it doesn’t rain. Hostas r pretty hardy plants once the roots r established. 💛😍
Also I forgot!! At goodwill, get Derrick some old bed sheets. Put the bed sheets down on the ground under the bush to be trimmed. That makes clean up just a YT snap!!
I use a knife to cut the weeds out of in between bricks. Works better than breaking my nails! We also got rid of our table and chairs set for lounge chairs and offset umbrella (great deal - free).
To protect your bench, get some car wax, and after the bench has been cleaned, wax it and it will keep it clean and rust free for a longer time. Hanging baskets need water morning and late afternoon...love the yard. That plant is a hosta, They are super easy to grow. When we trim bushes, we lay down an old shower curtain, and all the debris, fall on it, and can be put into a yard trash can or bag. Easy fast clean up.
I love how the front of your house outside looks the flowers are really pretty too! I haven’t gotten Love Meg’s multi suffer cleaner spray yet I am intrigued though and anytime I get something new I’m like you girl I just love to occupy whatever it is lol
Wow great work again !! You've had so much old plant to toss haha I'm glad you've filmed that part ! I was hopping you'll had regular trash bags to toss in there too while having the outdoor trash can next to the door since we never see this in cleaning videos :P
So glad you’re back. Pressure washing really is difficult. It’s also dangerous. Wear solid shoes. If that spray hits your skin it will rip it open. Don’t ask how I know that! Lol. I don’t like the feel of dirt or gloves either. Lol. A lot of work. But it looks so so good. I’m excited for the next one.
Our front yard is a huge dust storm as well when my husband mows😂I don’t know why because we seem to do the “right things” when it comes to taking care of the yard and our backyard looks like a golf course yard so who knows, but totally feel y’all !♥️
I appreciate you mentioning the weight of some of these tools and equipment for yardwork. I have bought trimmers that were too heavy for me to use safely. Some of the things I use are exhausting and take the joy out of yardwork. Your results are amazing and look great. Thank you for sharing. PS- childbirth can do weirdness to our bodies. It's a traumatic, miraculous thing!
Love your yard. You and your hubby make a great team 💗💗💗 Love Meg Fragrance water not so much. It caused me to have an asthma attack and migraine and it caused my pets to have sneezing fits. When I let Mrs. Hickman know she blocked me on social media and refused to refund me. So there is a group of us who are in a similar situation who have a lawsuit starting against her. It is sad, because it didn't need to be like this 😢
I am new to your channel, but I was wondering if you considered rubber mulch..1) it last 2 to 3 years..looks great and does not attract bugs to your house, and save $$$$...I only refresh every couple of years...
Cut the green shrubbery down to about knee heigh in the spring. It is way overgrown. It will grow back lower to the ground where it should be. Do no cut the red Japanese maple. It is planted between the windows as a small tree. Don’t make it into a lollipop. It has a beautiful shape if left alone. The hinoiki cypress was pretty by the mailbox but is history now. It was one of the nicest shrubs you had.
My husband laughs at me but I cannot touch lunch meat. He has to make all of the Sandwiches cause I can’t stand it and I’ve been like that since I was young. So I can relate lol. We also have very similar grass so I’m excited to see how growing yours goes!!
The end results look amazing! I’m the same with gloves and things under my nails, however I have Autism so could just be part of that for me although I do know people who have sensory processing disorder which can be the same sort of things that they don’t like amount other things 🙂
Looking good!!! I just purchased my 1st power washer too - I cannot wait to use it...between the rain and the heat, we have not been able to get out there either!
It looks so good!!!! Makes me want to do some yard work, I live in Georgia and man it’s has been either soooo hot or raining, hopefully I can get out there soon! Thanks for sharing, love your videos!
I've read that the first ingredient of the Love Meg product is fragrance/perfume, which means that's the main ingredient. Is it true that that's listed first? Because if so, I'm sure it smells great, but that's what room spray is for. A multi-purpose cleanser (especially one that retails for $8 per bottle) should have quality cleansing ingredients as the objective of the product.
Your front porch looks great. That power washer was amazing and satisfying. I'm with you on the gloves. I wear them only when cleaning up my plants because of bugs. Otherwise I can't stand them. It seems like Derek is getting more comfortable being in your videos. His singing with Sawyer (on your other account) was so cute. I have had that same dream of having a wrap around porch. You don't find those to much in California. We have been looking at moving to North Carolina and that is one of my must haves. Awesome video. Take care 💛 sorry for the comment 😊

Believe or not, you are not alone!! I cannot stand my fingernails painted!!! Only my toenails.

Love this video! My hubby has been talking about starting a garden. Your video gave us more motivation to do it!❤️😘
The power washing was so satisfying 🙌🏼 I power washed my moms front patio area a few weeks ago and I agree it’s a lot more work than you’d think!
