Also, it's hard to explain, but 역시 the first word is like the important part. It means as expected. Anyways, just trying to point out that it isn't really that rude. @@_linsr My logic was that if they are confident enough, which they should, you shouldn't really need to feel so insecure about their fame, which would mean you wouldn't naturally see TXT being BTS' junior from "BTS' little brother". As you said, they had a lot of choices, but I really don't think this choice was that bad (and the other choices would be too long in Korean and long captions are not good for shows). Well because I don't really want to fight with my own fandom, I could agree with maybe they should have gotten a better translation, because I believe this whole mess is actually like cultural difference / mistranslation. I think a lot of the fight is coming from being called BTS' "little" brother, because trust me, that changes it a lot too. @@_linsr My logic was that if they are confident enough, which they should, you shouldn't really need to feel so insecure about their fame, which would mean you wouldn't naturally see TXT being BTS' junior from "BTS' little brother". As you said, they had a lot of choices, but I really don't think this choice was that bad (and the other choices would be too long in Korean and long captions are not good for shows).
Well because I don't really want to fight with my own fandom, I could agree with maybe they should have gotten a better translation, because I believe this whole mess is actually like cultural difference / mistranslation. I think a lot of the fight is coming from being called BTS' "little" brother, because trust me, that changes it a lot too. In Korean the meaning is same but the nuance is different, so a lot of Korean Moas don't care (as do I, as a Korean) so I think as a Korean, TXT probably didn't mind. Actually, these negative comments are actually probably wrose for them?
