Nice tomatoes but some he picks are ripe, others he picks need more time to ripen or mature - he is losing out on peak flavor and sweetness of the fruit, for what reason? Is he picking for his table- then wait for peak ripeness. If he is picking for market and may take a day or two to sell, then yes pick alittle bit early so they can fully ripen on way to customer.
