You can search wine by their rating, by pairings or by type.
A really powerful option in that app is the ability to take a picture of any wine with your camera phone in a restaurant or supermarket and get the rating instantly.

The app is definitely good... but the biggest issue is that many reviewers are so ignorant about wine that they give 5 stars to very average wine. Obviously not everyone can afford quality wine!!
As a statistician, I recommend skipping the average rating and focus on the mode... that's the most common rating.
