Harley Benton Kits: Thoughts and Sound Demo

  • I recently bought two Harley Benton Kits... a T-Style and a J-Style.
    Here are my finished builds, my thoughts on the kits and some sound demos.

    Guitars look great, I'd be tempted to go the Rit dye/Tru oil route like your Casino though. An awesome look you created there.👍

    On my Jazzmaster kit I moved the selector switch into the jack socket hole and added a telecaster type socket lower in the body

    I have to leave a comment... there are quite some videos about these HB kits. But your example is one of the few, where the kits turned into really nice guitars. Many people just screw the kit together, complain about the ugly headstock and call it a day.
    I think many parts in these kits are crappy and of low quality. BUT... the necks seem to be (always) good. Did you really get Roswell pickups? My own T-Style kit came with no-name PUs... but that was a few years ago.

      Yeah, they came with pickups, but I wanted to upgrade a few things here and there because, as you say, the hardware is not the greatest.
      The necks are really good.
