hello i want to breed roseicollis ;fischer and black masked lovebirds , each type in separate aviaries . is there any problems when breeding the brothers and sisters between them ? i also want to know if the babies can be added to the established colony when they grow up or should i separate them from the colony?
If the colony enclosure is big then you can leave them to multiply. Separating each subspecies is a good direction. Just want to suggest to keep multiple pairs for each colony. And make sure to tag them using legbands if you want to regulate their breeding (inbreeding). Personally i oppose inbreeding between birds but it's up to you . It's your decision.

@@NT_80 well, inbreeding cannot be avoided completely. But atleast we can keep it to a bare minimum. Yes, what i suggest is pnce babies are bred and becomes an adult, you can simply monitor the pairings using the leg rings. Then from there you can break sibling pairing once it happened.
