I'll say Emerald. Not sure if it was actually great or if I was just 10 years old when I played it. Still remember throwing Ultraballs at Rayquaza and closing my eyes hoping I caught it.
I wouldn't say Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are the worst game (when the originals were the first to Dexit their own roster), but the games came out during my remake fatigue. While the best game are the ones I still play to this day and there are three of them: Fire Red and Leaf Green.
While I disagree that S&V are jokes (personally really enjoyed them despite the abysmal framerate and bugs), B&W 2 and Platinum are both top tier. B&W2 are pretty much the only mainline games that I never owned myself sadly and they’re just too expensive to get now. Hopefully Nintendo decide to bring all Pokemon games to the Switch 2. - Jimmy

Emerald is definitely one of the best even by today’s standards. Gotta keep throwing those ultra balls, can’t waste the master ball 😂

O that’s easy Pokémon Tetris for the Pokémon mini
Iluminescent platinum is what bdsp should have been
BDSP should and could have been so much more. Huge disappointment overall.

Black/White 2 and Platinum are the most complete Pokemon games and the best. Scarlet and Violet is a joke of a game.
