I carry a Sig P365, it fits into an Alabama pocket holster in my front pants pocket, and is much easier to carry than my old school CZ-75 duty pistol. Living in the State of Maryland, I had to jump through a lot of hoops, and shell out a lot of money to enjoy the privilege of being an American citizen with a 2nd amendment right. So, now I find myself supporting groups like Gun Owners of America, who take a no compromise stand on our right to keep and bear arms. It is also a reason why I will never vote for a gun grabbing liberal democrat. Vote for Donald Trump & JD Vance.

Agree 100%, everyone needs a small, light, pocket handgun. Even if they "usually" carry a service pistol in a major caliber.
Get whatever caliber you are willing to practice with, even if it's only a .22, and carry it always. Even at home.

Watched this and went out and bought the Mete MC9L :). Just funny timing, I’ve been researching the last month and settled on this. Bought from Buds, felt the Lord’s check and cancelled. Having just moved, I visited our new LGS today not expecting them to have any (don’t carry Canik) and they had it in FDE! I asked why they had it and they said some guy called about one and I decided to order it (that guy was me lol). They price-matched Buds, took off tax, and gave another 5% off for “Veterans Day” (with a wink wink)… what a blessing. Saved $60 ($85 if you include transfer fee).

Around 1983, my Wife and I purchased some property near Burnett WA.. We moved onto the bare property in a camp trailer. It was kind of exciting as we were "building our lives together." We would bathe in the creek nearby in the Summer and then that Winter we went either to my Wife's Sister's place or the truck stop to shower. One time, my Wife, my toddler daughter and a friend of mine were bumping around in my little Datsun car on RR land near the creek. We stopped and waded/swam in the creek for about 1/2 an hour then got back in the car to leave when suddenly this guy stepped out of the brush with a .22 rifle pointed at us in the car. We left after a short, tense talk with him stating that the land was his and if he ever caught us on his land again, he'd kill us all. I reported it to the Sheriff's office, and they did nothing. I purchased and carried a pistol less than a week later and have carried ever since.

After taking it to the range, with its accuracy and reliability, I believe it will be my new primary pocket backup. I carry at least one but usually two pistols and a knife every day. Simple.
1 gun for casual jeans and shirt "medium size"
1 guns for a suit "Small gun"
1 gun for hiking in the outbacks. "Large gun"
Than there are truck long guns..... but that is a different story.

I started shooting rifles at age 12 in 1966, but never shot or thought that I would EVER need a pistol until the 2020 riots. After much research I settled on a Sig P365. I also tried 6 different holsters to find two that worked for me. I removed the manual safety lever from the right side to better fit into my pocket holster and reduce printing. I made a fanny pack holster that I wear to the rear while I ride my bicycle that I can access my P365X with only one hand. I discovered that I could handle the extra length of the P365XL in my fanny pack, so I bought one. Wearing jeans I can pocket carry with a P365 with the taller XL grip module so I bought one. With casual slacks I need to use the shorter P365 grip module. But it requires less than 30 seconds to swap grip modules to fit my carry need of the day. I will be buying a P365 Fuse with it's longer 4.3" barrel for open carry. But I think that I may also be able to carry the longer P365 Fuse slide in my fanny pack. I've already shortened the taller XMacro grip module to accept the XL sized magazines, but still accept the Fuse 4.3" barrel and slide. At the moment the P365 series has 3 different barrel lengths with 3 different grip module heights, and you can mix or match the parts for whatever configuration works best for your carry method of the day, and you can swap the parts in 30 seconds. FYI, I carry with a total of 56 rds in magazines and a round in the chamber for a total of 57 rds. I carry two extra magazines in my fanny pack and I made a magazine holder for a 3rd extra that I carry in a rear pocket. I've also weighted the grips with tungsten welding electrodes in order to improve the balance and reduce the top heavy floppiness. I've also modified the grip modules to better fit my XL sized hands. I've also polished the internal parts for reduced friction, I use synthetic lube to work in Minnesota's subzero weather, and I have done everything possible to make my pistols as reliable as humanly possible.

I bought me one of them S&W bodyguard 2.0's, small, easy to carry in a pocket holster and it fit my hand like a glove. I went to the range the first time with it before carrying it on my person, could hit my target at all. 7 yards out, shooting at a black dot on a piece of standar paper, that gun shot left everytime, way left! I didn't have the tools to make any site adjustments so I went home early (put about 175 rounds through it the first time at range thinking it would "break in" and start shooting straight, it didn't. The second time I took it to the range I had nothing but problems with it. Jams, stove pipes, rounds getting stuck in the barrel, shooting way left again, this time I brought tools to adjust the site but it didn't matter. I pushed that front site as far as I could to the left and it still shot way left (8" at 7 yards), I took the gun apart at the range and noticed a few things with it, shiny spots where there shouldn't be shiny spots, long story short, I sent it to S&W for repairs. I do hope they fix it soon and send it back in working order. My other choices are a Walther PDP-F 4", or a Walther PDP full size 5", both are too big for concealed carry I feel, so for now I am gunless when I head out the door. I know I should have saved $100.00 more and bought a Sig P365, oh well, I guess I will have to rely on my kung fu ninja skills until it comes back.

If i want to carry on my person, i need something with a pistol grip that's thin (single stack 9mm) and shorter than what is comfortable in my hand. I dont have much of a waist, so printing is difficult to avoid unless i carry a bag on me at all times, which could give the wrong impression. When i lived in NY, i saw people carrying bags on them at all times because they kept their drugs with them so they could use them when they needed them.
    My second concern is ammunition.
In a real-world situation where you would need to defend against an armed attacker 5,6 or even 10 rounds likely won't be enough if you dont get a good shot off immediately. The first 10 rounds would most likely be spent trying to get to cover. More mags will be a necessity in this situation.
Drawing for a holster is practical where a zippered bag is not. Conceiled carry mag holsters hold less full mags than a bag could hold.
Full constitutional carry should be the norm so that those of us who have smaller waists can still be safe with open carry as those who can easily conceal a full-size firearm under their clothes. All of my pistols print. Including the compacts and micro compacts... this wasn't a problem until bribenomics made me a paycheck to paycheck employed citizen who cannot afford to eat much anymore. I've lost 85 lbs under the biden harris administration. Im expecting to lose another 15 to 20 lbs over the next 6 months as my auto insurance rose 100 bucks a month with no tickets or accidents.... AGAIN........cant change companies to save money because an unisured motorist claim was used to do repairs from a hit and run incident and state farm drew most of the money from my collision coverage and they refuse to send me the paperwork on it. Barely making it paycheck to paycheck, i can't afford an attorney.....i literally went from middle class with several hindred dollars a momth to play with to below the poverty line in less than 4 years...i make more today than i have ever made before and im more broke now than i have been since my teen years working minimum wage.

I carry a Ruger LCP .380 and a Taurus TCP 738 .380. They are the only centerfire pistols that I am able to conceal the way I dress. I would like to have a larger caliber, and more ammo capacity, but that is simply not possible. What I carry is not perfect, but it is a lot better than my other choice, which would be to not carry at all.

I just bought a Turkonelli M4. I have other guns but I like the firepower this one delivers. Otherwise I'm very comfortable with my G conversion M9, but during hunting season I carry an M1911 modified. When I need to conceal better I'm competent with my xds45 loaded down to 800fps with 185gr bullets. There's a time and place for everything but the boss is correct on this one, the gun is of no real use if you can't hit anything with it or if you're even carrying it.

There have been maybe two or three days in the last 20 years that I've gone out without a gun on me. I would rather avoid places I won't carry a gun rather than be unarmed. While on active duty in the Marines, I routinely carried a 1911, which is eminently "not concealable", I no longer do so because I don't believe it necessary. I was being deliberately ostentatious back then, but at the same time, I've always got two extra guns ready at hand, should I need them. My greatest concern is armed troops showing up at my door, rather than a confrontation "on the streets". Our "weaponized police" is the single greatest threat I see these days. I grew up in a seriously anti-second amendment family but I noted my father chose to get a gun, concealed carry permit in his sixties, and carried daily to his death at 87. I noted the statement, "an armed society is a polite society" as a boy when my dad and I were held up at gunpoint in the south side of Chicago. I've carried a gun ever since. I also enjoy a Llama .380 as a fine eight shot automatic that is very easy to carry. Once one finds a gun that is comfortable to carry, emotionally, a person is probably able to very easy to carry constantly without any concern.

Go to a range that rents pistols. Fire everyone you are interested in. Purchase the one you are the most accurate with. Modify from there to fit the situation. Example, you purchased a Glock 19 but it is too large to EDC in the summer, get a G43, 43X or 48 for summer. Get a G17 for winter etc. you get the idea but you have to train with each one to be proficient in case you have to defend yourself or others, obviously. IMHO

I get far more time to browse for new guns than i get to go to a range that usually has a long line of shooters waiting for a lane.

For me, there simply is NO "perfect" carry gun.
There is not a gun hat I carry EVERY day.
Yet, I do carry "a" gun EVERY day!
I honestly believe the philosophy of "a single perfect gun that you carry every day" is a mistake; and, it's the mistake that PREVENTS people from carrying EVERY day!
A lot depends on where I expect to be, and what I'm gong to be doing, which determines how I'll be dressed, which determines what holster, which determines what gun.
There's a gun that I carry when going out to dinner with my wife, family, and friends.
There's a gun that I carry going shopping.
There's a gun that I carry going to church.
There's a gun that I carry when I'm wandering about in the woods.
    There's a gun that I carry when I'm fishing.
There's a gun that I carry when I'm at work (and, through the years, THAT gun has changed, depending upon where I work).
...and I can go on and on...
The point is, that I have SEVERAL guns, and SEVERAL holsters and SEVERAL methods of concealed AND open carry.
...and yes... I regularly practice with ALL of them!
The reason people DO NOT carry every day is that they haven't equipped themselves with firearms and holsters that ALLOW them to effectively carry EVERY DAY, EVERY PLACE!
While there may be guns that can be PRESSED into "everyday carry,"the "perfect gun" for everyday carry is a fallacy.
I believe it's best to simply accept that and encourage people to assess their own environments, activities, and physical limitations and come up with the "best" solution for as many of these variables as possible, rather than preach a "right gun" or "wrong gun" philosophy.
    Bottom line is this:
I'm not qualified to tell you what gun you should have, or what gun you should carry. The only advice "I" can offer is this:
...just do the best you can, and pick a gun and carry method that will help you out the MOST times. THEN, you can start looking at the other situations, and, maybe, select ADDITIONAL equipment to accommodate those different scenarios.
But... first and foremost, pick a gun that YOU'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO PRACTICE WITH!
