I bought the $7 3D printed version on eBay.. It pushes on, instantly was loose and fell off. I purchased 2 because I have two of these shocks. Tried the other one and the same result. Worked to adjust, but didn’t stay on at all. Ended up buying the real deal fox part. Worth the money. Sucks fox doesn’t have something already installed to adjust the lsc especially when the shock is set up for adjustments.
I feel like I've sat through a lecture at the university - confused, but excited. I have the Rezi LF and CL shock on my Stumpy Evo so I guess I should feel something. The blue knob should arrive tomorrow, so I'll see how it goes.
By any chance, do you know how to remove the blue knob on the Fox Float X? As I was installing the LSC assembly kit (#808-17-470-KIT), all was going well. However, as I was pushing the blue knob down in place, one of the small detent bearing/spring assemblies popped completely out. I still have it, but now I need to remove the blue knob so I can reinstall it. It doesn't seem to come off just by pulling up on it. Thanks in advance for any advice! Great video by the way!
Hi great video ! It is very technical for me but i understood for some tunes the LSC knob is not interesting. Do you think my shock would benefit the upgrade? FLOAT X, P-S, A, 2pos, Evol LV, Specialized, Levo SL P51, 210, 55, 0.2 Spacer, CXLOE001, RF, Rezi LMB3 ?
An update for you. Tested the LSC settings today on a trail that's a combo of techy flow into open flow. Definitely felt the difference. Did a run with original settings for a gauge (4 on the dial). I then triedfully open/soft/10 on the dial. Soft and grippy on the small bump tech but unsupportive when pumping through the flow. Then tried fully closed/firm/1 on the dial. Definitely more support, and a bit more skatey on the tech, chatter bumps. Firm for pumping. Ended up on 3 for my last run on the flow section and felt good, some more testing will be needed. All in all it did make some difference with my tuning, I must note I'm not super sensitive to suspension changes but did notice the setting differences.
Good to know. I emailed fox and they told me that typically the OE Performance shocks have the same base valves as their OE tuned Performance Elite and Factory versions. Which means in these cases, adding the knob is like having the perf. Elite version.
Yes you will! Your base valve is the firm tuning so you should be able to clearly feel the difference when you twist the lsc knob if you get it installed.
Dude thank you for taking the time to go through this in detail! I have been trying to decide to upgrade my shock or go this route , super helpful.
Thanks for the deep dive on our shocks!
Fantastic video, can't praise you enough!!
Thank you so much, so much helpful!

How has the knob upgrade worked for you? I have a stumpy evo and can confirm that indeed the blue knob is worthwhile.
@@ytmoose8 Done it, set in in one position and never touched it since. But the position is different from the initial one.

Maybe not as much since your base valve has the bleed port.
Doesn't the Elite version also have a 3 position switch and completely different damper?
same 2 position lever and damper
Is open position the tear drop facing the lever or the main shock body ?
Great video, l've already order mine but my tuning is CL, RM, Rezi LMB1, Standard. Being B1 im hoping ill notice some diffence? What are your thoughts
Looks like you have a bleed valve so maybe not. Let us know the results when you get it installed
Cheers, I put it on tonight. Nice and straightforward. Base setting was 4 on the dial for a good reference. Does LMB1 mean only 1 slot in the shim? I

@@zhugeMTB-Tech Great to hear, thanks for getting back to me!
I have the same tune for the stumpy evo and can confirm that the knob makes a difference
my DHX LSC knocks on small bumps, I'm thinking of pulling out the LSC. not to install this upgrade.
