@@glorentzen nah I own one this thing is a subaru, the only big differences are the headlights and front bumper, the fuel injection method, and obv the badging. 'Subaru Genuine Parts' is written somewhere on pretty much everything.

This is in km so it would be 0-60 km not 60 miles.

I think it just about was from when the throttle when down to when it hit 100kmh was about 5 and a half seconds
@777dderek if it's the GR86 Premium, it makes sense that it's that fast though. It's supposed to have a 5.4 second 0-60 with 238 horsepower
Better than the GT86 at least. Would love to have the GR86 engine in my GT86 when the stock one finally stops working

I just raced one in my 01 integra on the freeway last night. 1.8L Vs 2.4L until we go to about 80 we were neck and neck then displacement took over. I was very impressed with my little honda
I plan on buying one not because of its speed, because of how it looks, it's an alternative if I can't afford a MK5 supra

@@nsmwdkjsbdjsjdn299dude you have it completely backwards. This is a slightly more powerful than average engine in a car that IS built for racing and is good on the track. It’s not really a hot hatch, because it’s not a hatch, and it’s not that hot. Has great handling, that’s what it’s made for.

@@dani4157 newer automatic transmissions for real performance cars like the Supras, Corvettes, RS3s, etc are just a lot faster because it’s computer controlled and reliability has gone up in DCTs. I wouldn’t consider the automatic in the 86/BRZ to be performance, but all in all, automatic is just the way to go nowadays if you really care about being the fastest 🤷🏻♂️

this car is for everyday driving and track days. Without a turbo boost, you can rev the engine without fear of overheating or losing control in a corner. Although she loses control relatively easily.

It’s flawed. Horsepower and torque always cross at 5252 and somehow the graph shows it higher in the graph.

They are already making 260 on the dyno. So a super charger would make this thing have 350-370HP

@@leom8605 auto or manual? I have a premium manual and all it does for me is dial back traction control and stability control. I think with the autos it also improves throttle response and throttle aggression as well.

Not fast.... but fast enough. It's a chassis experience, not a power one. Like many greats before it - E30 M3, Lotuse Elise, MX5 and may others.
I almost bought/ordered one last month but too many complaints online of interior trim rattles. Much more than other Toyotas with second being GR Corolla. Test drove a manual for a short time and loved it though
About as slow as my honda civic 🫤 Wish Toyota / Subaru would have gave these cars just a little bit more power. I understand the value is in the handling and driving dynamics but still.

Believe me, it does not need more power. The car is much faster than people give it credit. The the powerband is very flexible on a 2.4 as well. In this video, the car is not pushed to it's limits either (about 90% and a fairlysoft launch).
Now, when you consider how it feels when you drive it, power takes a seat in a short bus.
I don't track my cars, and the max speed limit on public roads is 75 mph. If you want a 1000-horsepower car that goes 200 mph and gets 2 mpg, spend $125,000 on a Challenger Redeye Hellcat.

Just so you know, the car is geared to reach 100km/h at the top of 2nd gear. You could save a hot second or two committing to the end of 2nd gear instead of shifting
No it doesnt hit 100kmh in 2nd. I tried that. It slows down at like 95 and maxes at 97 or 98. You have to shift in third gear.
