I was so glad my husband and I got the nursery and random stuff done a few weeks before our baby came. We just had our first baby over the weekend and he was 3 days early but had we had waited we wouldn’t have been ready. It’s such a surreal feeling not having just the two of us and the dog anymore but one of the best feelings. I didn’t do any research on breastfeeding either, and honestly it came completely natural to me once she was out! I had the lactation consultant come to my room just to make sure I was doing it right and she was so sweet and re assuring so I definitely recommend asking for one when you’re in the hospital! You will be great!
It’s good that you’ve bought newborn and bigger sized clothes and nappy’s. My daughter was 9lb 4oz and went straight into 0-3 month clothes and size 1 nappys. We had all sizes up to a year old so were lucky. Wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy and for the birth.
One tip for breast feeding someone told me I never forgot, when they take the baby to clean them and do any tests, make sure you tell them Not to feed your baby. They take to the breast more eagerly if they were not previously bottle fed in nursery. As a new mom breastfeeding doesn't always go smoothly and you will be emotional and might get discouraged so this definitely helps.
Can’t wait to see Dot. One tip is in the hospital they check on the baby so much that it’s hard to keep them in an outfit. Bring socks and maybe and a shirt that wraps. For my baby boy I kept him in the shirt that they gave me and dressed him when we went home.
Tip. Get disposable nursing pads. You can use maxi pads too when you’re in a bind. The milk starts to stink in the pads, especially in the summer. You’ll be washing so much that it’s another thing to have to wash and find...
Soooo exciting!! ^.^ If you decide on nursing there's a lactation nurse thats available to you 24/7 for your entire stay in the hospital to teach and help you which is super nice, so I never took a class and was able to nurse for like ever! So don't worry if if you don't get around to taking a course. You look sooo cute btw!!
Just curious if you are researching labor and birth as much as you are products? I always recommend new mommas to be watch as many labor/birth vlogs and videos as they can. Also, I recommend reading books by Ina May Gaskin. Knowing what your body is doing, why it is doing it, and how it is working during labor and birth is VERY reassuring. Trust me on this. ❤️

I have a casetify case and my phone got ran over, the phone didn’t survive but my case did! So I have it on my replacement phone still 😂😂 I’m 38 weeks and my baby girl has dropped so it’s any day now! Third trimester is exhausting but it’s such an exciting time, soak it all up!!! 💞💞
When I had my first son he came a month early and I didn't have my hospital bag packed. This time around my bag has been packed since 30 weeks just in case especially with covid rules making it harder to just have someone bring something. But I will say that as unprepared as I felt having no hospital bag, we made out just fine and the hospitals do have everything you need. They even had a little white long sleeve shirt and swaddles for my son to be in and we were allowed to take all the diapers and cloth wipes home with us.
All healthcare offices are usually cold because of the PPE we have to wear. So now with all of the additional PPE we wear because of the virus makes us sweat even more. So it will probably be FREEZING. I am a dental hygienist, and we keep our dental office at 68 at all times, we’ve only been open for a week now and half of my patients have commented on how cold it is.
Hey lady! We just had our first baby 2 months ago, and when I called to set up our first appointment with the pediatrician we had selected she was not taking new patients. I’m not sure how it works in Florida, but I would make sure who ever you choose isn’t about to stop accepting new patients. Maybe just a question to ask while your looking :) I’m so excited for you!

My friends hospital supplied diapers during her stay which was really nice. My baby was born at 33 weeks so was in the NICU for a week. Cook all the way but I recommend having everything done early. I had zero complications but he decided to rush out. Hopefully breastfeeding goes easy for you because it and pumping didn't happen for me. I did have that pump and recommend a hands free bra. Good luck!

True babies scratch there face a lot, but for the hospital bag, I thought all hospitals only ask you to bring one pair of baby cloths since they provide the baby cloths during the hospital time for allergic or safety reasons Or someothing. You will also need some cloths for yourself when you leave the hospital ^^

My big thing is I would talk to your mother and your mother in law... My family is all very petite people 😂😂... So my daughter was in premie outfits and diapers... She was full term and in fact she was an ounce bigger than I was at birth 😂 but the only person who bought a premie outfit was my grandmother who obviously thought a head lol
Go ahead and wash as many clothes as you can 😂is better to have them organised and washed ready to go.Because you won’t have time to do many things once the baby is there.and probably the baby will grow out all of the outfits before you will find time to wash them 🤣🤣🤣they grow soooo quick.today is wearing an outfit and in two days doesn’t fit him anymore

You might want to get a couple premie things too. My sister was born at 42 weeks and was 6 pounds 6 oz and she swam in her newborn clothes. ❤️
