*COLONEL:* They call him _little_ for a reason, Snake. With the help of Doc Louis, he has achieved a great combination of speed and power to help him plow through the competition, and his small size only makes him harder to hit. If you get hit with a fully charged knockout punch, instant K.O.
*SNAKE:* Yeah, but I've noticed his air maneuvers are severely lacking, making him vulnerable when he's in the air, plus the fact that he's very fragile when hit. Still... despite his weaknesses, it's hard to believe that this is his second time in Smash.
*COLONEL:* Indeed. From trophy, to assistant, to fighter, he truly started from the very bottom.

OTACON: Once he defeats his enemy, he is then able to use his enemy's signature ability to use in combat.

I love these codecs. They're such a sentiment to how dedicated Sakurai and his team are to making the smash games as faithful as possible. They perfectly capture the Metal Gear character's personalities and have them lead conversations filled with trivia and meta humor for every single character. Plus this is secret that could be easily missed when playing. I hope these codecs return in Samsh ultimate

Looking back on these calls, Sakurai sure did put a lot of effort into learning the Metal Gear mythos with all the allusions the characters make. Guess it goes to show the man doesn't cut corners even for guest characters. Pretty admirable, I gotta say.

OTACON: Even though it has its uses, the Monado is very dangerous and unstable. Shulk did a lot of research to insure that he can use it to his advantage. Previously, his friend Dunban used it in victory against the Mechon, a giant mech. They won the war, but at the cost of the functionality of his right arm.
SNAKE: Mechon? So they fought against a giant Metal Gear?
OTACON: No, Snake, the Mechon is nothing like Metal Gear.

Yeah, he was originally added as a favor. Plus, the general consensus is that he doesn't really fit too well with cartoony characters like Mario and Yoshi. But he was a lot of fun to play as (even though I'm god awful as him). I'm glad some other Challengers from Brawl like Ike and Dedede are returning, though. His chances are slim, but I'm all for Snake's return.

OTACON: Glad you mention that, Snake! While one of his arts increases one stat, they also decrease another. For instance, speed decreases attack power and jump height, while shield makes you slower and heavier. Good luck out there, Snake.

OTACON: Just because Charizard is all by itself doesn't mean that it's any weaker. In fact, it now has a Flare Blitz it can use, that causes serious amounts of damage, at the sake of sacrificing some recoil damage. Another thing to note is that it can Mega Evolve!
SNAKE: Mega Evolution?! First off, don't you need a Pokémon Trainer for that? Second, this wasn't around back when I was around these parts!

The reason why Snake doesn't like Sonic is for two reasons. One, the non-Japanese way that makes sense, is that hedgehogs eat snakes. Simple enough. Also, Snake's Japanese voice actor's father voices Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic games.

According to Miyamoto's interview, back in 2012, Bowser Jr is the only Bowser's chilld, but the 7 Koopalings aren't. But according to Super Mario Bros 3's manual, they are. Even though, the theory is still confusing, I'd still consider them as Bowser's children.
