never seen thisvideo til now, but fishing line works well, no paint damage, used to be a trim guy at a gm dealer and hated replacing moldings, had a gmc door on a brand new chevy truck once
Never thought of fishing line. Good idea. A friend has a Chevy truck with a GMC emblem on 1 door. He’s left it like that since new in 06. Thanks for watching
I take a piece of paracord and pull the inside (small ) cords out I took two three-inch pieces of dowel I had in the scrap drilled holes in them and tied the cord through and around the dowel, I imagine lots of things would work. A bit of low heat from a heat gun softens the foam tape and the cord cuts through the tape like nothing. No danger of marking the paint.

Thank you sir
Great idea 💡 👍 😊
Awesome trick
Not bad unless the fixings are part of the trim, then you gave to buy new trim rather than the fixtures.
I always use steel spreader 😄
Eraser wheel on a drill gun does wonders practical way too remove the remainder of the the 3m tape without burning paint
Good tip. Always run the tool at low speed to keep from burning paint. Thanks for watching
