  • This blistering message was preached to a group of 300 Nigerian pastors in Lagos, Nigeria by Andrew Strom around 2008. A searing expose of the 'Prosperity' gospel that is so rampant in that country.

I am given to understand that 1 or more "prosperity preachers" including Copeland visited Africa some years ago and DID promise that those who came to Christ would be wealthy beyond their imagination. This should NEVER be included in Proclaiming the Message of Jesus Christ. Those who serve "money" or prestige will answer one day to The Lord for their misunderstanding of His Teaching. Jesus never promised financial wealth as part of Knowing Him. Spot on Andrew, thank you

The Lord says you can't serve two masters and clearly states
"You cannot serve God and mammon"
    Matt 6:24
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
Having money isn't the issue, loving it is.
You can love it whether your rich or poor.
I think its reasonable to suggest that the object of our affection seriously matters to God.
Whom do we really love and serve ....whether we have wealth or not.
