I wasn't wanted and my mother did abort. My twin sister did not survive, but miraculously, I did. I have felt her rejection all my life. BUT, I am so very thankful than my life. Even though my mom was not capable of loving me like every child deserves, GOD loves, and always has loved, me. I know that now. Mom's choice has crippled her emotionally, and no mother should have to go through that. Adoption truly is a good option for women facing a difficult decision. Let the baby live, wanted or not.

The movie itself is rare. I find myself wanting more, searching such precious gems like it out there, but sadly, I found none. This movie is not just like the other movies that's upstream with fantasies. But this movie is full of hope, full of emotions and absolutely full of life. I can connect to it, to every tear shed in the scenes, and my heart is vulnerably opened during the whole movie, my emotions stirred in every new turn of the movie. This movie is too beautiful, one of the finest, well written, well played and it mirrored our real life so closely, that... It's wonderful. It is still such a privilege that I found this movie, though I found it recently, during the most hardest times of my life. And I think, I found it at just the perfect time. ;)

She would have buried/lost even more of her already wounded soul. I read the book "Gianna" when I was a teenager. I was so moved and inspired by her. Like anyone who knows about abortion, I never thought that there could be survivors. How life fights to live, and this really brought things into sharp focus.
The depth of the story line, the personal stories of those who were involved - all bring a face to an issue that demands we look at every choice as an individual decision to give life to another human being. There is no justification for eliminating a person before they are given a voice.
The true story is based on Gianna Jessen, who was tested on abortion chemicals which was supposed to blind her and burn her from the inside out. She survived and was adopted. The doctors told her adoption mother that Gianna would never get better and would die within a few weeks. Gianna is now 36 years old and has a GREAT relationship with Jesus. (Gianna is the woman who is singing this song, btw) Her real mother found her and told her she was a disgrace. But Gianna forgave her. Amazing story.
You most definitely have a purpose in life. (I wonder how many lives you have saved) I just found out about you and I will use your story to stand up for the helpless, what about their “choice”. Thanks for being heard. By the way you and your music are beautiful.

I saw this movie... and sobbed. The part at the end about the actress who played the birth mother's real abortion experience made me cry so hard.... October Baby was such a moving film- I've always been against abortion, but seeing that movie made me realize how hard unborn children have it. They don't know it, but every day, their lives are at risk. The term 'unwanted children' is a complete lie in itself.
That's really tragic that you think like that. I was an unwanted child, my father tried to have me illegally aborted but my mother lied to him and said that there was no-one there. I am very much loved by my friends and even more so by God.
I wish there were more movies that were about someone who was an abortion survivor or who could've been a victim because this needs to be address, someone being unwanted shouldn't be normalized that is dehumanizing and unacceptable.
How can you even have freedom without life being valued? They always call it the 'right' to choose but where is your right to be born? How can you even be important in a society like this when your life is so unimportant that your own mother can kill you. This is sick. Don't you need to be born before you can have women rights, and what about the female unborn babies who were victims of this 'women's right'. Since when do rights have victims?
I'm sorry to say that but sometimes it's better to abort than having an unwanted child who won't have all that he deserves. I truly think that every child who is born should be love, so if a woman knows she won't be able to give all her love to her baby, she should not keep it.
