This is the main reason why i want to visit Korean traditional market. There's a lot of stuff to watch, learn, and eat! 😍
These are one of those foods that are the QUICKEST to eat but take the LONGEST to make.
Yes l do
Thats like every food
Yahhhhhh 😭
True true
Such a huge hardwork...I really appreciate all the workers..they are great........ everyone stay safe and healthy.....❤️❤️😘😘
Now I know why its kinda expensive. Worth it every penny.
not all make their own sesame oil from scratch! you will know the diff of taste once you get the chance to try this one. :)
It's also the raw material that isn't abundant nor is it easy to grow
5:13 Starbucks apron with Adele in the background....love it 😂😂😂😂
As a starbucks barista I approve hahaha
Amazing! From sesame oil to the final packaging and cutting there are hidden gems.
I'm from the philippines and the 1st time I tasted that seaweed sheets, it was long time ago, from then on I realized it has always been my favorite snack until now and i'm always craving for it. 😍
We should really appreciate all the workers in factories as such. Without them we wouldn't be enjoying most of these extravagant foods. Hats off to all factory workers.💖💚
I like seaweed sheets... it's tasty and crunchy. And this video showed another Korean culinary made of seaweed.
Thank you for capturing this. I have a deep appreciation for small local business and the end to end process of making gim.
I cannot believe they were cooking them with charcoal at the end. My mom used to do that when I was young. It is good to see it once again. Not many people do that, and that actually need some skill. If you leave it(seaweed) too long or just passing by too long around charcoal it will easily burn to ashes.
2:37 ... Awesome. This production explains the cost.
Wow fresh sesame oil must smell so amazing.
I can smell the sesame oil from this vid already 😳✨🤤
I watch this every time I crave for seaweed and when there’s no stock at home 😆
Their packaging and their skills are tiptop 😍😍😍
I have been sick for a week and I throw up almost everything I eat. My man was so worried that I was losing weight so he cooked some rice, left and came back with this. And I ate it. THIS and rice and it was the only thing I ate for two days until I gained my strength.. My respect for this just grew.
Wow, she got very good asymetrical movement when picking and slotting the seaweed into the machine with such ease. Impressive!
Yummmmm - I am so addicted to them! I add seasoned laver/nori if I want something to be umami (well, for me) instead of salt. Kimchi rice, or just plain rice with sesame oil and laver, plain noodles -ugh so yummy 😋
5minutes making sesame oil
*5:50** Making seaweed with sesame oil*
*That's why it's expensive lots of work to make*
Hi 💜
Thank you for your description. Most helpful😊.
i see why this is expensive. i love the seaweed and i will still buy it.
Laver is one of my fav snack😊
I didnt knw making them would be so labour intensive...no wonder they are so tasty
They're playing Adele in the background and I love it already 😂
Thank you!
They're a really good snack!
(and helping me lose weight since I eat them now to replace other less healthy snacks)
It is very interesting to hear lot of people in the comments saying it is snack. In Korea, it is considered as one of the favorite side dish along with kimchi. I guess the seaweed are being exported to foreign countries in forms of snack
David Han yep, in the U.S. the seaweed is definitely marketed as a snack and wrapped/contained in much smaller packages like you would throw in a lunch box here.
I've been to Thailand too where it's still marketed as a snack but comes packaged in much larger squares
Woooow!!! The oil! First time seeing something like that
I love seaweed 😍 and I will appreciate it more after watching this 👀💚❤️
I super love this! But so expensive. I dont wanna eat ramyun without this. My mouth is watering!!!
This is mine and my daughter's favorite 🤤 I'd buy a suitcase full if i could
I remember my mom would do this on the stove 🥰
Yet we still complaining why seaweed so expensive
The right seaweed for this is also just sparse and tedious to farm, they're not making huge profit out of it. Everything from start to finish is expensive in this process. Yet i will never stop buying it
I could eat these all day everyday, it's just one of the best snack i know regardless of the type of snack
Ok so first 4 to 5 minutes they were making sesame oil??? Btw it was satisfying 👍👍👍
Thank u i was wondering 😅🤗🤗
Makes sense, since it is related. Before consumption, seaweeds are traditionally roasted and brushed with a coat of sesame oil.
thank u. i was curious.
Ahhahaahhahah and i was like whatttt is this
I'll bet it makes the seaweed taste really good.
Woah! Koreans are really hardworking! ❤️👏
Sea weed my grandson's (7yrs old) favorite snack! And mine too😊

the effort to make this is hard but they make it look easy.
Good job. I know seaweed It's crispy and savory.
7:10. He’s like Lucy going for the chocolates on the conveyor belt 😂
:( i love seaweed and it’s so cool seeing how they make it! I could just devour that whole stack!!
Roasted gim on the stone plate or charcol which is usually sold in tradition market is totally different from the ordinary ones. You guys have to try it if you visit korea. It has flavors like beef roasted on charcol.
I’m watching this while I am eating a big sheet of seaweed
Seaweed is my favorite!! 💚😋🤤
Mee too😊😁
@Kriti Tamu At first i didnt like but later i am addicted. It taste very fifferent

I don’t know about you but I just love how Adele’s voice complement this really great video
Wow they gotta do them one by one
do you guys make the seaweed or do you guys put the oil and salt on the sea weed?
i didnt see the process of making seaweed?
I’ve never seen that food. Where can I grab some in Europe?
What is the liquid? What is the rice like stuff she initially put in?
sesame oil. the rice like stuff was the sesame getting toasted first. They then press it to extract the oil. the brick that comes out at the end is the leftovers/ byproduct .
