How about building a bunker underwater and expanding foundation to main land and then place TC there :D
Can you push a tugboat on land or close enough to it and build a base around it?
The tugboat has a fkn radar that does not fkn show the enemy helicopter/ship/infantry at all wtf

you need a boat constantly, you need a farm base on the land..... for me it would be too much hassle.
if people are fine with the hassle then for them, this is perfect, but for me , this base is not worth the hassle.
Destroying the TC for 24 hours of upkeep on an underwater base is probably the most 5head shit I've ever seen in Rust. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot more people using this in the near future!
I will start buying dive kits at fishing village and "go deep" to seal bases underwater. Can't wait. :D

i wondering if it is a thing. so you won't get as much resource after raiding to core and destroy tc right? or if you build a new tc item will appear in new tc?
24 hours has been a rule for a long time. Just remember any upgrade after you demolish TC will decay. Get used to underwater bases as next wipe we are going to loose a lot of stability bunkers.
It would be cool if face punch added water pumps that can void a closed space of water

Yessssssssss it would change the game!! I've thought of a similar idea where you can remove dirt and build underground on land. It think it would be amazing. Maybe it's hard to program? But I can't imagine that no one at face punch has ever thought of this.
@@user-sx1fg7lc3c Water should be easier, Fairly sure for them to allow digging the maps would have to be remade entirely.
In theory you possibly could place a premade "Bunker Schematic" that creates A Void within the underlayer of the map. and then you can add onto the walls from within.
So technicly you are within a placed object at all times
@anarchy4812 would probably still need to redo the map, someone could just stack 2 bunkers, destroy the top one, and shoot out from under the map

That ending was unexpected but shows that real life isn't scripted. The utter bros going "Yeah we're going to steal your tug boat but is there anything you need from it before we do?" just shows the different types of players in this sort of game. Real "Give me your wallet but you can take out the family photos" vibes.

I keep thinking of going back to Rust but it's changed so much since I last played and there would be a really steep learning curve to get back into things that'd I'd just be stomped over and over during unless there was a sort of "beginner island" where all of the players had similar hours.

rust is way easier now since they changed recoil, takes like 30 mins in a aim server n u got the sprays

I'm saying that I last played RUST just shortly after launch when everyone was a white male. My problem won't be recoil it'll be THE WHOLE GAME and how I have to learn everything while getting raided and stomped by people who have played hundreds to thousands of hours unless there is a "starter server" that is only open to players with low hour counts so everyone is on somewhat even footing.

If you don’t have a pc you should play console but you should try it you are guaranteed to want to kill your self 😂
It's a great game, but you will hate it sometimes.
Still, if you have a group of buddies you game with, a 4 man group makes the game much more manageable for newer players

They really should allow underwater TCs. It would be fun to see more water bases/underwater bases.
It’d be cool if they added some sort of trade off for it being underwater. Like maybe higher upkeep or is a different type of TC that’s more expensive to craft
They really shouldn't then all the clans would stash all of there loot underwater and yes I know they already can but it will decay
@Wolfy.123 Big clans rarely get raided anyway. The benefit to a solo in a small base living underwater/ storing loot underwater is much greater than the benefit for a clan in a massive base cause the solo will most likely be offlined, where as the clan will only be taken down if a larger clan/zerg decides to target them (and if they are a big clan, they probably never truly go full offline since they can play in shifts).
I've been playing rust for so long, that there was a time when you could build a tc along the square and it kept your underwater base upkeep ;p

they need to add pumps and the ability to place TC's underwater so we can make bases underwater. it would be so awesome to have underwater bases that arent full of water. just gotta have an airlock so you can go in and out without letting water in your base. kind of like an air lock cycle on a space station.
Its funny that you felt the need to explain that, since air lock always meant what you're describing and is only used differently in rust.

Here i am, sitting and watching a vid of an underwater base i find fascinating, about a game i never actually played. Nice content!
Selling the loot cheap on the vending machines at the end was a chefs kiss moment.
"Undone by 2 grenades", nah, undone by the GREED. Had to try and farm the mans and had to come back with the tug.

Such a dumb decision.. all he had to do was take the loot and run. It was a well deserved win for them against a griefer trying to take a tugboat he couldn't even use.
Would of loved to watched more of the end portion where drones fell on the defeated base like a swarm of angry bees.
crazy stuff man, I've never played rust but these videos allow me to live vicarously thru you, also how poetic is it that the one group offlining everyone got offlined and had all their loot basically given away robin hood style. If there's one thing about this game that I've learned from ytb videos is that if you offline enough people enough times, they'll eventually get together and raid you, its really cool.

33:37 unless they have changed it in a recent update and I didnt see it you can place a sleeping bag in the cockpit area to prevent this kind of thing from happening. If memory serves I was able to fit 2 regular bags and 3 beach towels

There are several things that should be added to rust:
Some kind of pump to clear a room of water (should still be connected to surface in a slightly visible way without having to make a structure all the way to surface) and 2 a button in TC to upgrade all walls and floors in base to stone, metal or hqm in case you forgot to upgrade a layer that is unreachable now (obviously walls of a higher material level stay upgraded, only the unupgraded would get upgraded) And 3 the most important one: better anticheat lmao

Ever since the likes of Willjum and Princevidz have been doing the whole "solo living on the ocean" thing in dozens of different ways, I've wanted a way to do it like this, actually storing your stuff underwater without risking decay, this is so cool. Rust's content creator community is probably the greatest out there of any game. I barely play the game anymore, but the entertainment value and ingenuity of most of its creators is insane, people keep coming up with new ideas, everytime it's someone else doing something novel... At some point I'll have to subscribe to like fifty Rust-tubers to keep up with half of it...
petition to bring a water pump to filter out the water in underwater bases.
It would be cool if you could use a water pump to pump the water out and have to use a ladder hatch to get in and out to have a small opening that air holds the water back like in real life.
It would be cool but would never be added. People don't usually make use of the ocean as is and it would mean the developers would have to completely re write how the ocean works. Because as it stands right now it's not water in your base it's the ocean moving through your base like it's not there.

Back in legacy Rust there was so much unused space on the main land, I think it's only a matter of time before under the water is habitable as well.

Its cool that you have all those doors and bunkers but the base is literally 1 metal wall from the side hahaha
There is a way to do this WITH a tool cupboard. Build a base on land. Extend a linked walk way down to and under the water. There are ways to hide this by building a second part of this as a boat base. Make an extension to deep water off the boat base.
The last part is dope.
I just look at this and thinking hmm that tug boat is not exactly stealthy :)

just so you know baout tugboats, you can park almost 3-5 tiles outside the CORNER of the tile limit on the map, sometimes even further...
Isn't there a mechanic where tugboats slowly get pushed back toward land when you do that?

They should add water tight dors and other stuff like you have to have high quality metal foundations roofs and walls outside touching the water than you can add an electric drain in an air lock too drain water

Do guns have different muzzle velocity in Rust? That it seems like you want to use the higher velocity rounds at moving aircraft than what amounts to shooting an aircraft with pistol rounds.
since i have finally seen this on youtube ill share what else you can do with this trick, you can guarentee to keep your best loot every wipe or whenever someone is 100% offlining you. make a triangle external tc, but inside it will be a sleeping bag and a small box and fully seal it to look like an external. just place a twig triangle with a tc on it attached, 24 hr upkeep then break the twig. it will now not decay for 24hr and you can spawn inside your bag and f1 kill the loot back out. you can just repeat this everyday and it will never decay or be raided by even a cheater, no one is debugging external tc's
