Just watched this video. Everything you said about the way you feel regarding work and the anxiety I feel too. The difference is at my stage in my career I'm riding this out until I can retire early, which is about 10-12 years left. When you mentioned the dread of not being able to do 18 months comparatively I was like damn I have a long way to go. I'm happy for you and I'm doing everything I can to shorten my years and months to be in your place of happy freedom.

Happy for you!!!! Look at it as your job’s purpose was to help you get out of debt. I quit my job in 2018 and haven’t looked back. Good for you! Enjoy your freedom. 🎉🎉🎉

I feel like you described. I have been in my job for 14 years and I feel like it is such a burden. I am trying to get my stuff together and get out of debt so one day I can work less. You are SUCH AN INSPIRATION!!

This wasn’t really a surprise but still jolted me a bit and I had to watch the video straight away! I recognise my burnout experiences in a lot of your thoughts and reactions to leaving a perceived secure job, I know what it feels like to be at the end of the road. It took me some months before I wound down and around 7 years before I habitually stopped waking up at 5.30am!
You were being very cautious with the amount you wanted to have behind you before committing fully to self employment and I feel you will be absolutely fine. All the good habits will continue and the best thing is that your personal relationships will be enhanced. Spot on and very best wishes for your continued success x

Yes I knew it was coming, but jolt is the correct word. 😮 I was thinking Leila will max out her 401k this year and then peace out her job.

So commendable ❤ and this actually made me even more grateful for the fact I’m able to work a 6-figure corporate job and not feel burnt out because I know how rare that is to come by 🙏🏾 best of luck to you and your future endeavors! 💫

Well done you! this sounds to be a really good decision for you in so many ways. When Monday fills you with dread, you really do need to change something, and it sounds as if you have made a wise decision. I burned out in my mid 20s and it took ages to get back on my feet. Things were never the same, and life has felt like a compromise to me. Today, I reached a point where I can count down the next year and quit work at 65, which feels good.

I have kind of given up on Salesforce because the job market is terrible and now I feel as though I have forgotten everything. 😕. I’m so torn on what I should be doing. I like the flexibility of my life right now but I also feel like I am ready to “work” / bring in an income. My husband has been encouraging me to start making UA-cam videos of my sewing and crafts.
