hey I saw people asking if there are specific roles for each of us. so let me explain a bit. we met in the afternoon for the soundcheck and set up all the gear. each of us had their own set up with a mixer. you can see Speedy j has 2 mixers. one is for his set up and another one for the sum of each artist setup coming in. there is one master midi clock for all of us with separate outputs. so we could start and stop our sequencers separated from the others. there are no fixed roles except from speedy j who was besides playing on his setup also taking care of all the signals coming together. everyone had a full setup with drums and various synths. so we just started and let it go. you hear what is playing and when you think you can add something you just do it. so the roles where constantly changing and everybody just did what feels right at the moment. I was using Roland tr8s for drums with a oto boom for some distortion, a Vermona mono lanced (mainly for bass) and a novation peak for polyphonic stuff like chords and pads but also mono synth lines plus a strymon blue sky for reverb and a h9 pedal for delays and other effects. for sequencing I used the Oxi one sequencer.
I was there best 7 hours of my life. I am 44 and I had a lot of best moments in festivals but this one was amazing. Thanks to Stoor and all the people involved to get this done
I live in southern Oregon, USA. I am hundreds of miles, and even more kilometers, from the nearest dance club that might play any EDM whatsoever. So I must live vicariously through you, my fellow club kids. I love techno so much that I may as well be German. Minimal, hard, dark, traditional techno, I can't get enough. I enjoy some other EDM and other electronic music, but I have a "TENCHO" (sic) tattoo on my heart. It was done with lasers, that's how. No, tiny lasers. Really tiny nanolasers that you never heard of before now. They are so small that they can be beamed between atoms, that's how they do it. Try not to be so jealous. I'm actually jealous of y'all- that you get to see these artists in person and feel the music being made. And participate in the making of the music, truly. If the act of observing affects the outcome of an experiment on the quantum level, the audience affects the artists observed. If a drum machine plays in the club and there is no-one around to hear it, does it still make a sound? The answer is "no", since sound is a relationship between the cause of a vibration and an eardrum. With no observer there is vibration, but no sound. Sound requires the presence of ears. So thanks for being there. And of course, thank y'all knob twiddlers and electric spaghetti wranglers for making all the nice sounds for us to enjoy. 🙂🙃🙂
There is something unique about techno. An that uniqueness is symmetry here; so much depth, love, darkness, melody, harmony, composure, thought, and process, and overall example for each other. This is a display of how good techno has gotten by the artists that truly breathe it. STOOR and the artists have made something great!!!!
Just got the STOOR Stay at Home compilation from the STOOR bandcamp as a way to send a bit of money to Mr Paap (as well as the great music of course). These live session videos, the Pink Noise sessions, and the Stay at Home sessions have been my constant companion for the last few months.
I was there and can confirm everything in the comments. Best ADE event 2022, no doubt. There was an incredible sensation of music culture, zero posers, the people who were there were there for culture and not for fashion (which is very rare nowadays, especially during a festival). TOP location, the Paradiso being an old church offers seating from above, it was not a party it was a 7h musical journey. Thank you, I look forward to the 2023 edition
what a trip, what a performance... experimental, improvisation, communion between the artists. THANK YOU !!! rare are events like this, it should be more often...
Wow I wish I could have been on that dance floor! I still have all my vinyl records from Surgeon and Speedy J from the late 1990's and 2000's, so seeing them push the evolution of Techno into such an amazing collaborative and live art form is so rewarding. Of course it's the techno guys keeping the flame going and the breaking the barriers all while staying true to the underground. I hope to see you guys live one day.
It was on a totally different level compared to other parties I’ve been during ADE… this has been UNIQUE . Life changing experience being able to admire these beautiful show 🖤 History was made that evening !
A Master Work in Sound Art. SpeedyJ - Incredible work - selected as The Chairman of The Board on this one. Though I believe all of them could have done it. Somebody has to and it was you ... simply Brilliant. Wish I could have been there live.
Thank you so much for this live stream! This is mindblowing! Thanks to all the artists for this piece of techno art! Thanks to the complete STOOR team to make this possible!💥💥💥
The last time I heard electronics, this emotional was in Oldenburg. Klaus Schulze. Live. With a cellist. Now I have found this, I have to find 7 hours to listen to this without scaring the neighbors. So, for now, this is on hold.
I was thinking, how can they possibly beat the last twenty minutes of last year's? And then my ears and mind were assaulted with a sledgehammer 🤣 awesome finale to an amazing 7 hours. Thank you!
that happens when one of the best characters of the scene come togehter and "just jam". incredible work, incredible format. heard everyone of them live several times but this one is midnblowin´
This is the way it should be done, everyone at full capacity, listening and letting the music itself tell you what is next. True democracy, true anarchy, no one dictating, all acting for the greater good, cooperating, creating, and at times, innovating.
Truly epic. Was in Amsterdam for ADE and missed this? Did a 5 way short modular synth set synced by CV like this a few years ago. Well done to all involved in this event. Amazing.
Wow wow.
The amount of cycling through beats is crazy. Im only 36 mins in and i feel like ive heard well over ten-twelve different 'tracks' already. What a pace and its just the start!
This has been such an intense and intimite session, wasn’t there but have been to Paradiso before so i get the atmosphere. Watching it the whole set straight sucked me into the scene and put me in a trance. Amazing! 🙌
How great it is that we're allowed a peek inside this terrific event. What a show! And how about these 5 people standing on their feet for so long, bending over their machines. What fysiotherapy afterwards included? 😉 Boy, the part at 05:01 is really something. Must've been a few people shedding a tear or two...

thx I was wondering what sequencer was that big ^^
We can confirm this explanation is absolutely spot on. And that Novation Peak is pretty incredible too. Thank you Mike!

The machines, the visuals, the ascetic organisation, this is peak live techno of this decade.
