The rat appears at 44 seconds! What a shock and surprise! It was huge. Guess you really don't know what kind of animals you will find at the Animal Kingdom. The best part is the reaction of Baloo and King Louie. Baloo wouldn't even go back and take more pictures. He was done!!!! King Louie couldn't stop laughing.

Never understood why people are so afraid of rats when seen outside. They are more afraid of you and the poor thing was probably just confused. Also looked like it was a very healthy one too.
I was just going to comment that. In a large part like that. Must been terrified cause all these people around.It took off .I am sure they might have others Or mice or what ever in other places of the park. One reason I always wear shoes too.

Furry4life874 they weren’t trying to kill it, just screaming. All they have to do is leave it alone and they’ll be fine. Relocation would be nice for the rats and for us, just they sadly can’t relocate all of the rats
They get used to people and how where there are people there is food, you know it starts with someone eating food dropping some and the wildlife see it and eat it. Then there's people who deliberately feed the wildlife and so over time the wildlife figure out people = food. The wildlife suffer for people's ignorance generally you know they have to call exterminators or they get overrun with rats which spread disease so people are not doing rats any favors by feeding them or taming the wild ones.

If you didn’t know this Disneyworld and Disneyland both have big rat/mouse problems so at night when everyone leaves they put out cats out to take care of the mouse/rats this was the first time I’ve seen this

I encountered a rat when waiting in line, yeah there are rats at the park but they’re outside. At least they never got into restaurants as far as I know. ^^’

Cats DON'T HUNT RATS. Cats are opportunistic hunters. They will kill birds, lizards and anything that moves around.

Boy, that rat's been eatin' well, it was HUGE! Reminds me of a story my dad told me from before I was born. It was either in the late 1970's or the early 1980's. At the time, my parents were in Washington, DC (we still live in a DC suburb), and they were downtown looking at the cherry blossom trees (not sure if it was during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival or not). They were walking around the Tidal Basin, admiring the trees. There was another family there, parents and three kids (just asked my dad, and said he remembers it as one boy, two girls, ages around 3 to 8, he doesn't know for sure), and they see an animal swimming in the water. The mother says, "Oh, look at the cute little animal! Maybe if we're real quiet, it'll come closer!" One of the kids asks, "I wonder what it is?" And my dad says, "It's a RAT!" (and it really was a rat, even though it was a good distance away, both my parents knew it was a rat). He wasn't trying to be mean, or anything, he was trying to warn the family, but the way he told it, it came out as him trying to ruin a cute moment. The basic reaction from the family was an "EEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWW!!!!!" in unison. My parents stifled themselves until they were alone, and laughed a lot.

I have read on a 10 Things you didn't know about Disney that they DO have cats at night in an attempt to control the vermin population in the Magic Kingdom. Maybe they need to unleash them in Animal Kingdom

disney teaches their cast members to react to rats like its funny... they have a rat infestation and they dont want the magical experience ruined for the paying customers that bring them thousands of dlars alone from a family. for them not to be scared they act like that and cant run away like the bear did. notice how the cast were annoyed of the bear for being scared like that... ;)

Hahaha we were at animal kingdom in November and we saw a rat in a grassy area while we were eating in one of the restaurants. It's just expected when you're in a tropical region. But atleast it didn't climb up on you lol. I would've flipped haha
