I wish that with this feature help my channel could actually get recognized. Some videos I made actually took a long time but gain so less views that that I ended up deleting them.
Its a great feature if it works as they say and the BIG channels don't just get all the HYPE - great that UA-cam are at least trying to help the small channels
UA-cam cares about small channels more than the downfall of the larger ones. Look at the subs here, 825K and you're getting hardly any views compared to your sub count. So sad that all these new creators get the attention when the actual channels that made UA-cam a wild success are not getting any views in comparison to their sub count. The system is so out of balance...I know of several long time UA-camrs with large channels who actually hardly upload anymore because it's just a huge discouragement. When they used to get hundreds of thousands of views on videos 5 years ago, now those channels get a hand full of thousands of views.
To be fair you have a point, but that has alot to do with the viewers,if they were subscribed with notifications on and watch those videos then they would get recommended more. Basically some people subscribe to channels that they enjoyed a while ago but have been ignoring the notifications so they no longer get recommended. But I see what you mean.
It's very simple, hype will hardly do anything for who are actually a small channel. For me a small channel is subscribers under 10k or may be 50k at most. How come subscribers with even 100k subscriber is a small channel, it should as soon as get a BLUE TICK sign.☑️ Now there will be new competion for the small channel in reality is the HYPE competions. 😂 We are possibly going to be in a new sort of competition my friends. 🤔🤓😄
Don't think like that. Fact is, it'll still create views for ALL smaller channels, yeah, it'll favour bigger channels, but it's still a step forward. I feel 500k is too high though, but i wouldn't say "hype will hardly do anything for who are actually a small channel". I think that's too far
It depends on the area of the channel. Some areas have a large audience while others have a small audience. I've always looked at 250k subs or less small.
@@JohnOdunayo thanks to add on, I am just thinking that the over all idea to help smaller channels (definition is to hazy) is probably not going to be defeated but it actually helps more to bigger channels ironically. But yes, we all have to wait and watch. I might be completely wrong but my definition of a bigger channel is anything above blue tick or maybe even lower subs. 🤔
@@ItsMe_Philippines thanks, you have a point. But still the win-win situation should be good for all, I guess YT has better data with them to analyse than anyone else so YT should bring a mechanism to keep this in mind rather by saying "Oh your content is excellent but area is not good, change it after putting 5 years of efforts". Good quality content is good always which has to be respected irrespective of area. Awards/Rewards should have been given based on quality of content, people are putting huge day and night efforts and must be respected. So things should be designed accordingly in my opinion.
Just gaining 1 more subscriber counting every step towards goal for days, months wow what a masterpiece, I'm grateful for my 416 subscribers, once I hit 500 i will come back to look back how far i have came.
Great insights! I’ve been building my own channel with sarcastic animations like 'A brick and a fish walk into a bar' with unexpected twists. The grind is real, but it's all about connecting with viewers who get our style, right? Looking forward to seeing us small creators grow together!
@@santiastronomo I think anyone doing a video thinking they're going to be a big creator is doomed. Just post what you think is good and hope for the best. Granted if I was making videos that were getting 100k+ views and one gets 40k then I'd say it failed.
My focus is community building not subs. I have a nice membership base and enjoy when one person at a time comes into my world and brick by brick I will grow. You will too if you think of this as a marathon not a sprint. If my community hit the hype button great. If they don't. Great! The point is they are escaping their stressful life because I created something to make them smile. Please don't forget your purpose for your channel friends. Being a creative person who makes videos or live streams does not mean a race to the most subscribers. I earn a good amount with 1.9k subs. Because I look after my members. That is all ❤
I heard that once you get monetized, subscribers no longer really matter. But people say all kinds of things & there is no way to know what to believe.
Well if you mean react channels who do music they already do. Music channels like I and so many others get copyright claimed which means the company gets the income, and most of us also give credit to the artist already
Thanks for the video!! What I have discovered on UA-cam is to change your niche if you are not growing. Look for a less competitive niche that still get lots of views.... And be consistent... I now treat UA-cam as a job....
Thanks for the Hype option created for You tube channel content creators (below 500 subscribers) where your channel gets a chance to be noticed by others watching You tube Videos for one week. I feel the three hype option for a start (maybe should be given more for good quality videos and adjusted accordingly) from our new uploaded videos. It will definitely helps if you can post new interesting videos consistently and I look forward for it to be available to all You tube content creators. This will level the playing field out there against the more popular content creators where your new contents get equal You tube viewing times.

*QUESTION: When does this feature go live?* I know there are a lot of opinions about 500k subs being considered "small", but I ain't focusing on that... at 1500 subs, I'm hyped for this to roll out. 😎
Interesting. I haven't seen this in action yet. Not on my channel or any of the other "small" channels in my ecosystem. Thanks to suppressions and restrictions most of the content in the Civil Rights space is from channels under 500k.
I'm interested in seeing how this goes. If this helps creators hard work finally get noticed I think that is awesome! There are certain videos I work harder on than others, so hopefully that will help them get noticed. I look forward to seeing what was mentioned in this video becoming available and what it does to certain channels. Also thankfully it will be optional to go to a tab for this...

Just watched your most recent video, really good editing, and really interesting and dramatic! However, what the algorithm demands is perfection, so here's some (possibly obnoxious and nit-picky, but useful) criticism. First, I can imagine the ai voice being very disengaging. It seems detached. Second, you need more unique and diverse footage for your videos. It's very cool, but the shaky cam arg-kind of clips go on for very long. I'm personally okay with it, but the algorithm isn't. With your style of content, a more mellow yet moving kind of style is what you should go for. As in, it should change every 5-10 or so seconds, but not jump cuts, and something that fits the video, of course. I noticed you did stuff like that briefly, and it was well executed, it just wasn't consistent. In terms of your gameplay videos, they're very basic and unstructured. Probably add an intro, commentary, consistent theme, etc. to them. They truthfully aren't engaging to watch. These probably aren't perfect tips, and there's a good chance the algorithm still doesn't push it, but that's the best I can give you (I've started studying algorithms a bit, but not enough for insane knowledge of it, but hope this helped! :D)
@@AdventureofMadnessOfficialAOM Quality content will get recognized and has nothing to do with the time you put into it. If it's enjoyable for people to watch, it will get picked up and shown to more people.

Just the internet. I think that stuffs especially aparent in games like Roblox and Minecraft. "Look, Roblox just made a major update towards child safety!" "Ohh.. it's not perfect!! There's still 1/1000000 kids getting groomed >:(("
Percent of channels with 500k subs or more is 0.116 %. So when you say access to Hype ends at 500K subs "which makes this pretty exclusive", you're not just talking about the One-Percent, but literally the point-one (.1) percent. So it is essentially available to ALL. At least the prorated points system does allow for more Hype points for smaller channels per click (If I'm understanding this correctly). But if you have 30 subs and get 2000pts vs someone with 300K getting 200pts...guess who is STILL winning that battle for the algorithm by a landslide!
Edit: This guy literally just steals and reposts other people's content, but is somehow complaining about the system being unfair... Who wins? Probably the video that has more views proportional to their channel size because that's how the system works... High sub count doesn't mean high viewership or likes.
@@Strenkoo Dead or dormant channels with a lot of Subs are likely to get disproportionately lower views if they suddenly pop up with a video. But generally Subs mean those people are at least made aware of your latest content and thus you will likely get more views from the jump than smaller channels. Of course there are infinite variables related to both quality and the topic of the content. Someone with 50 subs may put out a cute cat video that suddenly ropes a million views. While a bigger channel that has slowly cultivated an audience in niche tech or art or whatever, may never have a video that even approaches those numbers solely because of the limited audience. Also high Sub count does mean potential sponsorship opportunities which can finance and support a channel even when Adsense doesn't.
@@GodLovesComics You do realize most of what you just said has nothing to do with this new feature, right? You need to take a step back and breathe. This system isn't going to work perfectly, but there's a chance it boosts some small creators. Plus, if they roll it out and figure out that it's unbalanced, they can just tweak it until small channels appear more.
@@GodLovesComics Also, I just took a look at your channel and most of your videos are just you stealing and reposting other people's work. You're hardly in the position to complain about creators not getting their fair share.

I wish that with this feature help my channel could actually get recognized. Some videos I made actually took a long time but gain so less views that that I ended up deleting them.
Very encouraging perhaps especially for all the newbie youtube channels.
The rise of multiverse of vanness arc is gonna go hard fr
It's very simple, hype will hardly do anything for who are actually a small channel.
For me a small channel is subscribers under 10k or may be 50k at most. How come subscribers with even 100k subscriber is a small channel, it should as soon as get a BLUE TICK sign.☑️
Now there will be new competion for the small channel in reality is the HYPE competions. 😂
We are possibly going to be in a new sort of competition my friends.
I just can’t get past 280 subscribers but I think my hard work and dedication will pay in the end! 👑
from now on UA-camrs will be like: Drop a hype for the algorithm
Smash that hype button for the Algorithm
Just gaining 1 more subscriber counting every step towards goal for days, months wow what a masterpiece, I'm grateful for my 416 subscribers, once I hit 500 i will come back to look back how far i have came.
When will this come into effect though? it sounds like it could be useful, especially if the small channel multiplier actually makes a big difference.
Great insights! I’ve been building my own channel with sarcastic animations like 'A brick and a fish walk into a bar' with unexpected twists. The grind is real, but it's all about connecting with viewers who get our style, right? Looking forward to seeing us small creators grow together!
It's worth a shot. At least UA-cam is trying to improve
Are they? More like improve things for themselves. Hence pushing YT shorts.
1,8k subs here.... it's a really amazing feature to help me finally get 1,9k subs in the next couple of months lol
Lol, a video has 42k views and that's bad??
Yeah, that what sucks
it's in comparison to others like MrTra-Beast.
@@kreicko I'd be jumping for joy if I had a fraction of that.
@@santiastronomo I think anyone doing a video thinking they're going to be a big creator is doomed. Just post what you think is good and hope for the best. Granted if I was making videos that were getting 100k+ views and one gets 40k then I'd say it failed.
Exactly 🤣
This is actually a great news for small youtube channels
Well I’m screwed 😂
My focus is community building not subs. I have a nice membership base and enjoy when one person at a time comes into my world and brick by brick I will grow. You will too if you think of this as a marathon not a sprint. If my community hit the hype button great. If they don't. Great! The point is they are escaping their stressful life because I created something to make them smile. Please don't forget your purpose for your channel friends. Being a creative person who makes videos or live streams does not mean a race to the most subscribers. I earn a good amount with 1.9k subs. Because I look after my members. That is all ❤
I like your philosophy...thatscwhat I want to grow a community etc
wow I think is a revolution all this updates, finally our littel channels can have a boost
I think they should drop the range to 500-100k subs only 500k is way to big smh
I heard that once you get monetized, subscribers no longer really matter. But people say all kinds of things & there is no way to know what to believe.
Yeah, it's the views that do
If the news isn't that large "React" channels can no longer steal videos without sharing revenue/giving credit, then i'ts not big enough news. 😀
Thank you UA-cam for making the lives of smaller channels harder.
So true
Thanks for the Hype option created for You tube channel content creators (below 500 subscribers) where your channel gets a chance to be noticed by others watching You tube Videos for one week. I feel the three hype option for a start (maybe should be given more for good quality videos and adjusted accordingly) from our new uploaded videos. It will definitely helps if you can post new interesting videos consistently and I look forward for it to be available to all You tube content creators. This will level the playing field out there against the more popular content creators where your new contents get equal You tube viewing times.
Just another UA-cam hoop for people to jump through. I expected this to come but not this soon. Hype is like the name, pure hype by Google.
🔥🔵“Intelligence is compression of information.” This is one of the most useful videos I believe I have ever watched on UA-cam.🔵
Hmmm, I would need to have viewers....All my views come from me watching my own disasterpieces.
But I'm super happy for everyone! tHanks UA-cam.....tHanks for the video
I personally think that it is a great initiative and may boost the visibility of smaller channels.
Very nice I got this feature
Oh, really ? How is it ??
This is liturally what we need to stand a chance, i have been trying to compete with the bigger channels for ages only to make better videos than i have ever done before with only getting between 100 and 300 views in a years time.
I cant wait for this feature to be introducés, im hyped😉
*QUESTION: When does this feature go live?* I know there are a lot of opinions about 500k subs being considered "small", but I ain't focusing on that... at 1500 subs, I'm hyped for this to roll out. 😎
I think it is necessary as it truly has not been fair to get buried immediately.
Interesting. I haven't seen this in action yet. Not on my channel or any of the other "small" channels in my ecosystem. Thanks to suppressions and restrictions most of the content in the Civil Rights space is from channels under 500k.
I hope your channel continues to grow! Almost at 1K subs here - Thank you guys!
WHat a nice feature that UA-cam's adding!!!!!!!!!!!
It gonna help me ALOTT!
Me and my two more friends channel got freezed at same time one is having 10k subs, I have 6k and other have 1k subs and I also know a channel having 600k subs got freezed
They are so full of shit, they keep lying to people on this useless platform
YES when is this getting added?
I make valuable content and I can surely relate to this 😢😢
Same, I definitely have the same problem not getting my content recognized despite me putting weeks of work into them
If you make quality content it will get recognized.
@@AdventureofMadnessOfficialAOM Quality content will get recognized and has nothing to do with the time you put into it. If it's enjoyable for people to watch, it will get picked up and shown to more people.
Thanks for the quick run down! We could all use a boost!
Me: Might not work perfectly, but it's cool that they're trying something new that might help a few small creators
Comments: 500K MEANS THIS SUCKS AND WILL NEVER WORK AT ALL, UA-cam SUCKS, I HATE EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Me: But with the small channel multipl-
Comments: I HATE UA-cam AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yeahh some people don't want to acknowledge that this is at least a step in the right direction
Just the internet. I think that stuffs especially aparent in games like Roblox and Minecraft. "Look, Roblox just made a major update towards child safety!" "Ohh.. it's not perfect!! There's still 1/1000000 kids getting groomed >:(("
This makes it so easy for channel farmers to create hype for their videos
Awesome sauce!
Now smaller creators like us have a fighting chance!! 🎉🎉
I’m at 252 btw
It's all bs.
No, it's not. It's an improvement.
I wish the best for all of you one day we will pass this trap 😊
Subscribe!!
you forgot the endscreen i think
I'm really hoping this new feature gets my content out there🙏🏽
Sounds stupid
Cause it totally is, they ar full of shit
How?
This is awesome, love the love, thanks youtube!
Lovely! Thank you
Amazing video, you earned a sub! Even though I don't consider myself a beginner anymore, I still remember getting started. It was a tough journey. Of course, things are a lot easier now and I'm super grateful that I didn't give up and stayed patient all the way through. Consistency and hard work (I had to use a little bit of Fame- ster as well, but I don't regret it honestly) is the key for small channels and always pays off. Good luck to everybody, you are going to make it soon!
How did you do it please?
What’s your channel? I’d love to check it out.
I cant wait for this feature.
hoping this actually gives small creators like me a boost!🤞🏼
I only have 36 subscribers , hopefully this hype feature will help all the small channels grow 🤞🏻
