I am just about to buy one but one review that I read worries me. Are there any noise generated from the gimbal?
I have read some reviews that it is generating too much noise to make it difficult to understand any kind of conversation when shooting. I the guy was also using x1000v + g4 gs.
Does yours make any disturbing noise?

There is an easier way to do this, you can actually mount the camera on a chicken's head and the chicken will do the stabiliser thing for you lol

What do you mean by the update that you are using now the osmo mobile gimbal? You mean that you are using the osmo mobile gimbal with the Sony action cam? Or that you just want to say that's the gimbal you use now for your cellphone?

No gimbals I see for the sony as 100v camera WITH the waterproof housing on available though as far as I know. So no snowboarding.
+michael oliveira Yes that's true. The gimbal is not waterproof either so I would not be good while its snowing.

+ANIL KINGSLEY The clip is a lot different. Since this camera is long and skinny it would not be that easy to mount a gopro. They do make lots of these for gopors and they are cheaper. amzn.to/1Lnujuj

maybe someone can explain me the difference between GoPro and Sony version of the gimbal ? They look similar, but sony one is a bit expensive. I would never change my sony to gopro, but gopro versions are half a price.

I assume there is a difference in placement of joint motors. I've got now a sony version.
They are the same but the mount to the camera is different. Gopro is just cheaper because its so common.

I have both Sony cameras and gopros.... Can i use the gopro gimbal for the sony as well just buy putting it in the gopro mount sideways? say the gopro went flat so needed to change &/or i just didn't want to use the gopro but dont want to buy 2 gimbals
If you didn't try it yet, the only difference might be the weight of the two cameras. Definitely this one is calibrated for the Sony, otherwise it shouldn't be any difference beside the one proprietary for GoPro comes with a charging USB port.
I've been using the sony ok BUT 2 axis gimbal is just junk... the unstabilised axis just ha too much movement :(
when you say "unstabilizied axis" you mean the gimbal powered off? Shouldn't you store it back in it's original foam case for better protection?
no, the gimbal stabilises X & Y axis.....but not Z axis... the movement in the Z axis when handheld is very noticeable in videos...and if mounted to motorbike or similar it's totally useless, I should have bought the 3 axis one in the video rather than the crap 2 axis one :(

no, very similar. if you don't want to crop in on 4k action cam then this is good since you can't stabilise x1000v on 4k
I might pick one of these up for my trip to the coast next month. That said..no more Boise imagery. I miss that place.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm sure I'll need to practice a lot. New cam and first time using an active stabilizer.
As for Boise, I lived there for a few years while going to BSU and working for the state, but lived around Mtn. Home all my life. I moved 3 years ago, but always make a trip back for downtown and the food. I'm now doing my best trying to teach these people in SLC how to pronounce Boise.

I can't keep the camera secure w/o the clamps being so tight that the gimble vibrates on the camera.

Yeah, I'd say go this one amzn.to/2lp9pV9. its only like $168 right now. It doesn't have the 4k but everything else is there and its a great price and even comes with a waterproof flat lens case. When I bought the x1000 it was $400.
Tech Connect yea thats a big difference. i have bought the as-50 already.. bit im not sure if its worth to buy a feiyu gimbal for it.. Because the gimbal is more expensive then the camera.
I see what you meant now. I switeched to the the DJI osmo mobile for the phone amzn.to/2kNh3FL Its just so much easier to shoot with the phone and look at the big screen. Plus the feiyu is not waterproof so you can't do a lot of action cam stuff with it. I would say if you are going to be walking and moving a lot its worth it but if you have a newer phone put your money into the osmo. Im making a video on it right now actually.

It would be so useful because I wouldn't need to take a tripod with me all the time. I mean It costs $300 for a Manfrotto monopod . i tried one to use with the AZ1 it failed miserably. vibrates and disorient easily.
Have you tried flashing the firmware? I red that it fixes your issue.
Looks like the screws scratch the camera when mounting
+MrBrymstond The screws don't touch the camera because the bar is curved around the edges so the camera only touches the bar and the bracket on the back.

Very sad news. I sent a email to Feiyu official to ask them whether they have plan to develop a wareable gimble or not. The answer is no....
This hand hold gimble may be the only product for sony...

+MrBrymstond The Airwheel amzn.to/1MUKCxN top speed is about as fast as you can run. But its got way more power its top speed is just limited my its computer. I'm trying to figure out a way to take it apart and unlock the top speed.
