Shame on us as a Harari people, we consider ourselves muslims, but yet look how we the parents act like...and look how the fathers in this generation act like, sitting in 'bercha' chewing 'chat' and sing along...some of this fathers barley fullfilling their children's needs or fulfilling obligation of their wives... some are even becoming a dead-beat dad...Sad Wallahi, sad!! We need to wake up people!!...our children needs us...These kids are following our footprints someway or another...what are we teaching them...'bercha'?? That's it?? That is what is considered the coolest thing for them now a days?? Bunch of Harrari teenagers hanging out with their friends smoking 'huka' and doing 'bercha'...Is that what we've become to?! This is the legacy that we are leaving behind for them, 'bercha'??..shame on us!! Where are the leaders for this generations!! We need leaders that are followers of the Quran and the Sunnah...We need leaders whom are free of 'chat chewers' and free of 'alcohol store owners', I understand, its not so pleasing to hear this , but it needs to be said...We're labeled in such a tortious stigma and 'No' not all are described as such, but as a small community as we are, it seems though the majority of us are unfortunately associated with those stigma... We have to come together as a Muslim community and work toward becoming a true role model, but first we need to fix ourselves by following the Quran and the Sunnah! May Allah guide us all!
