This is the second time ever that I've actually enjoyed watching models on a catwalk! Usually there are clothes that no-one will ever wear on models looking almost nonhuman but this is real clothing och real people and I love it! Stunning clothes on gorgeous folks 🤩 Btw - There's a Swedish movie called Catwalk - from Glada Hudik to New York that captures a group of people with varying disabilities and their struggle to get to the New York fashion week. It's absolutely great!

Stunning! At first I was a bit distraught that it wasn't Shane sporting a gold suit, but the purple velour look is classiness itself! Really beautiful use of colours all around. Everyone looked smashing!

This was so great!!! I've always been a big advocate of those with disabilities, I guess because of childhood friends as well as family members. But even in college, I saw the struggle friends had with finding clothes that looked age appropriate, stylish for work or special occasions, and certainly functional clothes!! The fashion industry seems to overlook so many people that don't fit the "normal" mold (whatever that is supposed to be). I was always very petite and had some struggles, but I saw even friends without disabilities who were smaller than me having issues finding adult clothes if you were under 5' 2". My second daughter is very small and has that same problem, and she's 25! The world is not one size fits all, and it is time designers of fashion, homes, and products start thinking that way. I went into interior design in college for that very reason, because I saw the struggles others dealt with in a world that had forgotten about them. So glad you are helping to educate the world!!! ❤️
This made me so happy! Fashion shows are usually full of models with one body type. I dream of a day when we have a fully inclusive fashion industry that represents bodies in all their beautiful forms. You all looked amazing.

What I'd really like to know is how it was made accessible, what were the adaptations to the clothing that made it so easy to put on or so comfortable to wear?. Is there going to be a discussion at any time of this or will we hear from you guys about the clothing items you wore?
Yes! I would love to see photos of the clothing on the models and then a short video showing the actual clothes and how they're adapted for each person's needs.

Everytime we see more of this the better it gets for the entire disability community so it's building up to a better world not only for them but everybody because it makes it easier for everyone universally because when they have accessibility to many things it helps everybody

SUCH a great watch. It was really evident that the designers had worked with every one of the models and designed to express everyone's individual style. The two of you looked amazing, so stylish, I loved both your outfits. What a great event to be part of, as well, highlighting the importance of adaptive fashion.
All I can say is WOW!!! Such an amazing and beautiful group of people. You both are so blessed to experience such wonderful, amazing things with such an incredible array of beautiful people. Since becoming diabetic 6yrs ago and finding out it had already ravaged my eyes, joints and memory when the 1st symptoms reared their ugly heads I decided then I'd never be disabled but instead differently abled. Thank you so much for the amazing things you do, the amazing stories you tell, and the love you share.
Wait how did I miss this? I have done coverage of New York Fashion Week annually for 5 years when I started out as a media photographer in the riser spot and this is by far one of the most inspiring fashion shows I’ve ever seen. Made me teary eyed! I’m deaf by the way. So I can relate and that our disability should never stop us from reaching our dreams! I currently cover red carpet professionally. Well done Hannah and Shane everyone shined on the runway! 👏👏👏

Amazing guys! Everything was amazing! I have a degree in design and have thought about designing a line for disabled people for years, but have never had the means to start something like that. I'm thrilled a company has innovated in this way! (I'm the one who sent you the Squirmy and Grubs hand carved stamps for context) Congrats guys!
I have put on many fashion shows through out the years and this one ran smoother than many of the ones I hosted. You al were amazing and the clothing is top notch. It's nice to see differently abled people get the representation we deserve! My heart is happy!

That was FABULOUS!! Those dresses were amazing, but I can't help but wonder how those could possibly be easier to put on and remove! My son is excited about that ice cream suit. He might not be a small child, but he does love funky fun fashion. I'd have loved to have a description of the fashion, to highlight the practicality along with the great look. I would have loved to watch more. I had to kinda laugh a bit, looking at both Shane and Hanna. They're a gorgeous couple of course, but I wonder how many people thought Hanna was going to have a life at home, just endlessly caretaking, and yet they both actually seem to be busy doing one thing or another all the time, I wonder when they just have time to sit and relax. She might have married a man with a disability, but there is nothing home bound, or boring about it. Loved the fashion show and want to hear more about the clothing.
Yes it’s definitely different than what most people might expect! That’s why it was nice to be in a conversation and advocate for how we need to get dressed etc. etc.
I loved every second! Everyone looked GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see more adaptive fashions from these designers! Great job everybody-from designers to seamstresses to the makeup and hair crew and everybody in between. The models were absolutely beautiful! Shane and Hannah were the showstoppers! Loved it!

Beautiful show overall. Watched it several times. The cape the man with the neon green hat was wearing! Beautiful fabric and overall combo. That was my favorite outfit. I really felt that all the outfits matched with the personalities. You see that the models feel beautiful and I loved that they were smiling. (I always feel that models look unhappy and unhealthy in fashionshows). This is how fashion is meant to be. Thank you for sharing.
I almost skipped this episode just because I never have loved fashion shows but I’m so glad I didn’t! Everyone looked amazing! The colors used were so flattering to each individual person. I really loved the young lady with the “pink” (I’m sure there is a much better name for that color that I don’t know) dress that matched the pink on her chair! The kids were a special treat as well, the little girl was so beautiful and she was feeling really beautiful, you could see it all over her face, she was really feeling herself 😍. The little boy looked so wowed by the crowd. Everyone looked amazing but of course you guys really stole the show. It was wonderful! I found myself just grinning the whole time. Am I allowed to be super proud of you guys!? I have heard so much about your stories and how you came together. I'm in an inter-abled relationship - I'm disabled - and so much of your content is affirming as well as educating for my unconscious ableism. Burden complex, etc. Seeing you make thing like this happen just makes me feel so optimistic for the future of disabled people. Thank you for dedicating your lives to this.
I do have an idea for next time though: maybe include 1 or two completely invisible disabilities? E.g. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It's not always invisible and for me I use a wheelchair part-time. For this very reason: I get the double-take ALL THE TIME. anyway, just an idea. I love it though! Flawless!
Shane got the short end of the stick! They put Hanna in a glamorous long gold flowing dress while Shane is in what appears to be all black and he blends with his wheelchair! Not exactly what I imagined when thinking of fashion show.

I recognized that first model from another Squirmy and Grubs video. He wrote a wonderful song about people living with disabilities (physical and emotional).
I love how Hannah is trying to keep a serious 'model face', but then just can't help beaming at the end. I also can't get over how great the kids look. Hopefully by the time they're adults, they'll have a huge range of adaptive clothes to choose from for any and all occasions.

Since becoming diabetic 6yrs ago and finding out it had already ravaged my eyes, joints and memory when the 1st symptoms reared their ugly heads I decided then I'd never be disabled but instead differently abled.
Thank you so much for the amazing things you do, the amazing stories you tell, and the love you share.

Wait how did I miss this? I have done coverage of New York Fashion Week annually for 5 years when I started out as a media photographer in the riser spot and this is by far one of the most inspiring fashion shows I’ve ever seen. Made me teary eyed! I’m deaf by the way. So I can relate and that our disability should never stop us from reaching our dreams! I currently cover red carpet professionally. Well done Hannah and Shane everyone shined on the runway! 👏👏👏
The only fashion show vid I've ever clicked on and watched! I really loved the mother and daughter. The daughter waving and being cute. The mother checking in on her, matching her pace, all while doing the perfect catwalk.
Amazing guys! Everything was amazing! I have a degree in design and have thought about designing a line for disabled people for years, but have never had the means to start something like that. I'm thrilled a company has innovated in this way! (I'm the one who sent you the Squirmy and Grubs hand carved stamps for context) Congrats guys!
I have put on many fashion shows through out the years and this one ran smoother than many of the ones I hosted. You al were amazing and the clothing is top notch. It's nice to see differently abled people get the representation we deserve! My heart is happy!

That was FABULOUS!! Those dresses were amazing, but I can't help but wonder how those could possibly be easier to put on and remove! My son is excited about that ice cream suit. He might not be a small child, but he does love funky fun fashion. I'd have loved to have a description of the fashion, to highlight the practicality along with the great look. I would have loved to watch more. I had to kinda laugh a bit, looking at both Shane and Hanna. They're a gorgeous couple of course, but I wonder how many people thought Hanna was going to have a life at home, just endlessly caretaking, and yet they both actually seem to be busy doing one thing or another all the time, I wonder when they just have time to sit and relax. She might have married a man with a disability, but there is nothing home bound, or boring about it. Loved the fashion show and want to hear more about the clothing.
Yes it’s definitely different than what most people might expect! That’s why it was nice to be in a conversation and advocate for how we need to get dressed etc. etc.
I loved every second! Everyone looked GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see more adaptive fashions from these designers! Great job everybody-from designers to seamstresses to the makeup and hair crew and everybody in between. The models were absolutely beautiful! Shane and Hannah were the showstoppers! Loved it!

I really felt that all the outfits matched with the personalities. You see that the models feel beautiful and I loved that they were smiling. (I always feel that models look unhappy and unhealthy in fashionshows).

I almost skipped this episode just because I never have loved fashion shows but I’m so glad I didn’t! Everyone looked amazing! The colors used were so flattering to each individual person. I really loved the young lady with the “pink” (I’m sure there is a much better name for that color that I don’t know) dress that matched the pink on her chair! The kids were a special treat as well, the little girl was so beautiful and she was feeling really beautiful, you could see it all over her face, she was really feeling herself 😍. The little boy looked so wowed by the crowd. Everyone looked amazing but of course you guys really stole the show. It was wonderful! I found myself just grinning the whole time. Thanks for posting this.

Am I allowed to be super proud of you guys!? I have heard so much about your stories and how you came together. I'm in an inter-abled relationship - I'm disabled - and so much of your content is affirming as well as educating for my unconscious ableism. Burden complex, etc. Seeing you make thing like this happen just makes me feel so optimistic for the future of disabled people. Thank you for dedicating your lives to this.
I do have an idea for next time though: maybe include 1 or two completely invisible disabilities? E.g. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It's not always invisible and for me I use a wheelchair part-time. For this very reason: I get the double-take ALL THE TIME.

Shane got the short end of the stick! They put Hanna in a glamorous long gold flowing dress while Shane is in what appears to be all black and he blends with his wheelchair! Not exactly what I imagined when thinking of fashion show.

The kids are the cutest! Th gentleman who started the show was shy and so endearing. Well done dressing everyone. I love the red dress with one leg out. And the smiles made me smile. I love how Hannah is trying to keep a serious 'model face', but then just can't help beaming at the end. I also can't get over how great the kids look. Hopefully by the time they're adults, they'll have a huge range of adaptive clothes to choose from for any and all occasions.
