- Christina Grimmie was my friend and roommate on season 6 of NBC's The Voice. I am saddened, confused, and deeply hurt with her senseless passing. Christina was a beautiful person inside and out. I will miss her bubbly personality, quirkiness, and talent. I wanted to honor her the only way I know how, with a song. Fly on sister. This is a tribute to her and those lost that same weekend in the Orlando Shooting. May we find a way to move forward in life making peace while letting go of evil. #ChooseLove

All the original songs made in Christina Grimmie's honor shows us the kind of impact she had. Bubbling positivity. I don't think there is a better way to describe her. Talented amazing giving loving caring... I only wish I can do the same for others.
To let go of any hate I have, and focus on making the experience I have with anyone more enjoyable and fun. She was definitely always thinking that way. Hey let's all go buy scooters, hey let's all get a DS and race in mario kart, hey let's... how do i just bring joy, and uplift people.
This was her nature. That way of behaving is how she felt comfortable. She would feel so out of her skin being a downer. What's crazy it seems for so many people the opposite is true. I think if one thing I will take away from this great girl who at 22 has taught my 31 year old self so much. I need to be more positive with those around me. Even if it's joking, or poking. I need to prioritize highlighting the things I do like more, and we so often only offer what we feel people can do better at. It needs to be in my DNA, in nature, that that is my initial reaction. It's like when Ghandi saw the dying camel and he said, "what bright teeth does it have." I want to be honest with everyone around me especially if they are not doing something beneficial, but I think an emphasize on complimenting and highlighting what I do like is something I need to take away from this rockstar of a person!

In tears again.....inside a minute of this absolutely gorgeous piece.....remember finding out what happened and walking dazed and numbed for weeks.....surprised I had it in me to click on this.........I can't watch any vids of her.....but I knew this would be precious......and it is.....but I can't go on anymore

The other guy had no words, so I guess I'll take his quota. I had an idea a couple of weeks ago, and it occurs to me that you may be able to help. I think NBC should make a special episode of The Voice that is all about Christina. As I see it, they owe it to Christina and her family. Christina did more for The Voice than The Voice ever did for her.
There are so many things that could be done on such a show. Guests, family, and friends could come on. I'm sure celebrity types would line up to be part of this. There could be clips from her videos to show everyone the things that made her so special. They could talk about the legacy that she left and what the future will hold. And there will be a future, because Christina will not be forgotten.
I wrote about it to NBC on the web site, but I am not expecting anything. Maybe you can pull some strings, contact someone from The Voice and drop a hint, or you might know someone who can. They will probably make a statement, but 30 seconds of Carson saying "...blah blah, terrible tragedy. Rest in peace. And now, back to the show!" will not do. Christina does not need to suffer the final indignity of being "montaged."
I imagine an amazing celebration of Christina's life, her accomplishments, and the impact that she had and will continue having on the world. It would be a fitting tribute to a dorky girl with the voice of an angel and a heart made of solid gold. Still there? Hello?
