I honestly think composition wise, this song is one of the best Nigerian songs of the decade. A lot of Nigerian songs these days try so hard to be American and abuse the auto tune. But this song incorporates Afrobeat and modern tastes very well.
Right there
It's not the original ! It's a cover of the original by the late Rex Lawson
There is an original of it-he just remixed it.this is a very old song
yes you right... Never fade, always remain flesh nd natural the agro beat.
+burlhorse89 yeah its originally a Latino beat almost 90 years old. I wouldn't have known if my music teacher didn't play "peanut vendor" by Perez Prado. I was shocked cause "I was like wtf?! This sounds a lot like ashawo"

AS A JAMAICAN 🇯🇲 YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THE BEAT/RIDDIM IS FROM YOUR COUNTRY JAMAICA 🇯🇲..I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS FROM THE CARIBBEAN!…AND IT WAS PROVEN THAT IT IS FROM YOUR COUNTRY!..ONE LOVE FROM USA 🇺🇸
This IS NOT Afrobeat, this is a soca/reggae beat...the Carribean beats are heavy in Afrobeat but no credit...at this point it's getting to be disrespectful. I'm waiting to hear a Afrolatin beat call Afrobeat.
