Thank you for the video. Was the old cat bad? Any fault code? My S40 has the check engine light and a P0420 fault code. I found a large exhaust leak in the flex pipe so I replaced the flex pipe only by cutting and welding. The fault code was however triggered again so perhaps the cat is bad. Will have to measure temperatures next.
Thank you for the good explanation. I have a question. Do the 2 oxygen sensors have the same connectors? Are they actually 2 of the same? Thank you very much.
The connectors are different and the wires have different colors. The 2 sensors look the identical but I don't know if they are built exactly the same inside. Check on eBay to see some pictures.
Hi, is your s40 FWD or AWD? I have an AWD and having difficulty finding the right part to replace it. Apparently the AWD model flexpipe assembly is different than the FWD but I cannot find info on this.
Thanks a lot for your videos on the s40. I have a 2005 2.4i that I own since 2015 and I plan to keep for a long time.

Sorry, I now noticed the massive hole from when the attachment point broke. 😂
My old catalytic converter was still good but I was not interested in welding a flex pipe on rusted pipes.
Mine just did this yesterday

Mine is FWD. I don't know the difference. Check with your local Volvo Dealer or check with Rockauto or Davico: davicomfg.com/catalog/
