First impressions on the Trialmaster fight are really good, tough fight, interesting mechanics and combines well with the zoning that the Ultimatum mechanics add. I'd love if the entire league was a bit more like this - not necessarily boss fights but fewer, tougher enemies more focused on positioning.
How many literal DAYS of playtime to proc it though? I have been going nearly 6 days and barely even seen 8 rounds. I'd love to have first impressions, but the rarity sucks.
Some kind advice - a wave of justice is coming - justice does not discriminate. If you want some context look around - a game backed by a 200 billion dollar net worth shareholder, spent zero dollars on servers and game support over the last three years, a game balanced around streamers and the 1%, a game that purposefully looks to destroy things that are fun and working as opposed to creating new things that are purposefully more fun and interesting - the beginning of the end has begun ... I am but one of many that will see the conclusion
sadly for a lot of the community it's the best time to bitch. "too tedious" "too much micro management" "it doesnt fit the ARPG genre, i just wanna kill monsters" "you NEED a guide to get anywhere, REEE"
@@lodsup Didn't help that GGG is smol brain and thought tossing randomly generating (even broken) map sections that degrade with shit loot throughout was a 'smart' idea. Their last actual "smart" league was Incursion, and Harvest is a close second without the horrible balance.
@@DxBlack Incursion league was amazing, had so much fun! I think though that there is a fine balance to the "just wanna kill monsters" and "we need more complex mechanics" method of thinking. Incursion was great because there was some thought put into it but not too much so that it made you feel like youre wasting time not killing like Synthesis or Harvest I agree we need another elaborate league. Getting 2 really simple arena wave leagues in a row makes me sad. Next league should be a more complicated affair.
seems like ggg are now saving all their good league ideas for poe2 and have accepted that the league mechanics will just be a bit shit, so they've made it very rewarding.
Can someone explain to me what is so good about ultimatum? New player as of tota league and now ultimatum is returning for affliction so what's it all about that so many people love?
From what I've heard from KittenCatNoodle who does a lot of lore stuff the Trialmaster lore is kind of new, he references another god that currently has no other references in game. Possibly stuff leading up to things from PoE2? :O
@@ZiggyDGaming Iirc he serves the Vaalish god of chaos, who's appearance orbs of chaos are modeled after; so technically a reference to him, but no text lore yet.
Kinda BS that the league mechanic is lock behind RNG that you can't do anything about. You die and you lose everything, but because there is no way to deterministically spawn the boss you can't really practice.
Yes mostly because the RNG gating is just getting insane now and the button spam is out of this world. At least for me, its getting mentally too much intense to my liking. The old POE had a sort of calm to it.

9 hp....wow

The risk reward is great. The NPC is top tier. The gameplay is generally shit. Too many monsters as you say. Trialmaster fight is well done though.
tried the build dropped it for brutus lead sprinkler
3:16 release your inner chicken.
Miss your youtube vids, Ziggy.
Wow when you hit the button to show all items, that was the best part
I miss this league SO MUCH
Man... Hearing your longing for a big brain league I was reminded just how very much I miss Synthesis. Easily my favorite league of all time.
sadly for a lot of the community it's the best time to bitch.

and here we have the prime example of said bitching.

Sythesis lore is quite good.
2 annul orbs for the killing Trialmaster... We should encounter him more often, I've only seen him once, and I do every ultimatum to the max
I have seen him once and I have done 100+ ultis
I had my trialmaster fight yesterday as well. Have to say it is very intense if you have 1 ex and a winged scarab on the line.
U remember I had a HH on the line and it was the toughest fight i have ever been in my life ... I got a mental disorder even after killing him XD
Thanks for sharing
The Krangled is inescapable.
TFW when you have more exalts than wisdom scrolls...
the build youre playing looks absolutely sick!
except for the fact is heals enemies when it hits instead of hurting them.
Im so jealous of that hideout, i farmed about 100 last league, i need it!
Damn, that was epic!! so close as well, considering u always play on hardcore this must have woken u right up again :)
He's not in Hardcore.
anyone else think taskmaster sounds like the mortal kombat announcer ?
seems like ggg are now saving all their good league ideas for poe2 and have accepted that the league mechanics will just be a bit shit, so they've made it very rewarding.
It’s a pure pleasure seeing pro players doing their job well.I hope I can find this boss one day.

This league has been pretty fun so far, I like the emphasis on positioning in order to do well
What's the lore for Trialmaster and Chaos? Are they cosmic beings from other dimension like Maven and Elder?

Interesting. Doubt I will ever see Trialmaster fight this league. And when do we see his boss, Chaos? Good job dude!
he just killed me when he did the elder gray screen freeze crap
couldnt even do nothing what the hell
Do the clock turn the opposite way in Australia?
what is the song? it sounds so familiar.
I haven't seen him yet. He is way too rare.
what are those numbers on skills? addon or something?
It's not addon. It shows number of remaining exalted attack from warcrys.
what tier map

Life lesson #1: Life is not fair.
Thanks, now I know I will skip it on hardcore
Buy Exalted Orbs: www.g2g.com/r/ultimatumexalteds
I got unnatural instinct from killing his wave. They should make the trial master fight rewards more consistant
Wait did you just go counter clockwise in an ultimatum encounter?? what is wrong with you!?!
(-: hehe :-)
Another poor game design. I've done at least 250 red maps, and haven't seen this encounter yet.
that zdps build tho :D
Anyone else feel super bored when playing POE lately?
Yes mostly because the RNG gating is just getting insane now and the button spam is out of this world. At least for me, its getting mentally too much intense to my liking. The old POE had a sort of calm to it.
Pathetic league with pathetic slow mechanic
