Theresa May tried very hard to counter 'human rights' laws to prevent deportations being blocked, she was stopped by the liberal courts every step of the way. Same for the current government's Rwanda plan.

Can I point out that 80-90% is absolutely not a Political Refugee, but an illegal Economic Immigrant who would never be approved for the official route, so he/she tries another route and pretends to need asylum. That is ROTTEN to the core. Many of us would love to live and work for a while in Britain, but since Brexit that is hardly possible. So we accept this as a fact of life, but those people from I don't know where who travelled through several 'safe countries' misuse the system, just like they do anywhere else in Europe and we are ALL totally fed up with them for many valid reasons.

Why? If they have no papers, and deliberately refuse to reveal where they are from or who they are, they should just be deported back to where they arrived from, ie France. That is exactly what happens if you arrive with no papers by plane. Straight back to where flight originated!

Not wrong here, just how many bloody interpreters et al are left to come over? How are they proving this work? Not that it matters we owe them nothing, they were well paid mercenaries and knew the risks well enough. I was I Afghan for 2 years of my life and I could write an essay on what I learnt there. None of it is a resounding positive at all for the UK. Bringing in god knows who, to give them god knows what, so they can realise this isn't a land of overflowing milk and honey and eventually the handouts have to stop. Then the real nature of these lack-abouts is brought to the surface.

From what I have read, there are TikTok videos on what to say when claiming asylum. In Africa, the smugglers have videos posted on how to fly to Turkey and then to Nicaragua because they are visa free. They are starting to charge Africans $1,000 per person to discourage them from coming. They could instead make Nicaragua a country that REQUIRES tourist visas. This would actually be more effective. They stated that the revenue will go towards the airport repairs and upgrades.
System may not be rotten but incompetence springs to mind. For some reason in the back of my mind is a nagging feeling the Civil Servants are probably responsible for slowing things down

The conservative party is (largely) liberal-progressive posing as conservative. As such, the conservative government doesn't want to get tough on illegal migration. However, because a large part of the conservative base, and would-be conservative voters, aren't liberal-progressive, the conservative government can't be seen as going easy (easier) on illegal migration.

The problem can be solved by remembering a couple simple concepts:
- The concept of asylum was never intended as a conduit for economic migration, it was intended as the means to give people in physical danger due to political persecution or war.
- Once someone leaves their country of origin they are no longer in physical danger. That means that while asylum requests are valid for people that come directly (from a neighboring country or have a visa and took a direct flight), asylum is not valid in other cases and thus they should apply for residency through the normal channels. The only exception would be when in response to a particular disaster/emergency the nation decides to welcome a specified number of asylum visas for citizens of a given country, which should apply through consulates anywhere in the world *before* coming.
In other words, anybody that enters the country irregularly or requests asylum at the border and is not from a neighboring country is not a valid asylum candidate, should be *instantly* denied and deported.
This is simple logic that ought to apply to any nation considering the issue of asylum and irregular migration.

Immigrants' charities and solicitors care nothing at all abput the people who rightly belong in Britain. The traffic is very lucrative for them and people trafficking gangs have no scruples.

@@Wiganpilot please deal in facts. labour let in 250,000 immigrants each year, mainly Eastern Europeans. That was in accordance with the Maastricht Treaty. The Tories have let in 600,000 immigrants each year mainly Muslims, mainly due to Theresa Mays 2015 legislation. These figures are available from the Conservative Governments own website.
I voted Brexit to keep the immigrants out, and I know who to blame for letting them in. There were zero dinghy divers before 2015.

When the Government allows the mass importation of people from war zones, they are importing people that have the knowledge to cause great harm. The fact that they arrive with little or no documentation greatly increases the risk to the UK population. When will the Governments take OUR human rights into consideration to live in a safe and secure environment. The security services have enough people on their terrorist watch list and state that they have to be 'lucky' all of the time but a terrorist only once.
Also, mass migration into the UK has had a devastating effect on housing, schools, doctor surgeries and especially the NHS. We have half the number of hospital beds since the 1970's but 11 million more people clambering for treatment. This Government's decision to give priority healthcare to ILLEGAL immigrants includes dentistry, many in the UK cannot get dental treatment without paying for private treatment and still forced to travel miles for it- This is TREASONOUS!!

We are overwhelmed. The present huge numbers of illegal and manipulative 'asylum seekers' is simply too great to handle through previous and present failure to turn them back. Whatever luvvies may think we simply do not have the land mass and practical resources to accommodate and deal with them here.
We have to abandon sentimental old ideas that belong to a bygone age and deal with the problem firmly. Only then will those with a genuine need get help.
Asylum seekers must be dealt with as early as possible on their journey. At present Britain seems to be operating as a funnel and the inevitable result is a bottleneck accompanied by incessant swamping around it. When will we see some plain and simple common sense from those in authority?
I disagree with the idea that those already here cannot be sent back. Until they are, in sufficiently large numbers, the present chaos will continue. WAKE UP EVERYBODY.

They are all overwhelming us although those sailing across the Channel in overloaded boats not fit for the purpose should be the easiest to turn back. The 'legal' ones will be harder but both lots need to be dealt with at the earliest point along their journey.
Clearly the authorities on the Continent mainland should have cooperated with us and played their part and now they are reaping the whirlwind themselves. I am astounded at how stupid people in authority can be.

Thchap9940. We are being swamped with hordes of unneeded and unwanted border crashers and CBN is doing a good job in exposing those who facilitate it. No, public, opimion in not contributing to inefficienies. The authorities need a kick up the backside to get them to move.

1. We can't blame the immigrants coming from countries that the West interfered (in the last 20-30 years). It's a tricky one.
2. People coming from outside of the countries outside legal routes are mostly illegal economic immigrants and here it is clear most of them are young healthy men.
3. Government must prioritise UK citizens living in the UK over the rest. Period.
4. Human rights and migration acts have to be reviewed and renewed as per modern state of affairs.
5. Those granted asylum / ILR / citizenship here must respect the laws of the land and be a good citizen. If you don't want to integrate fine but at least don't cause trouble and don't expect the indigenous population to adapt to your way of living.
