To open that file you need the mario kart wii modding tool, and there you can access every line of text that the wii uses The audio thing, one or more skilled and amazing people found a method for it, though, it is somewhat complicated because the audio file has to be under 1MB or the wii hangs on the disclaimer screen. The process is similar, not hard, but you need to follow a few steps. This time you need to do it with the Smash Brawl modding tool (somehow this works lol) (update for the next thing: thememii does automatically set the texture addresses for you, though, I forgot how. You may just need the menu file, the textures you want to modify and call it a day) The font of the clock is the easiest thing to change, but at the same time it's the hardest and more time-consuming. You need a program called ThemeMii, which allows you to manually select which textures to replace on the Wii Menu. You need to find the exact texture location inside the Menu File and specify it. In my case, I found out that the Okami theme had the clock font that I wanted. I extracted the clock font from the Okami Theme using the program, and then, on another ThemeMii Window, I started adding each number one by one. I had to manually write (or in this case, copy and paste) the respective directory of each number and the size in pixels. This sounds technical but it is fine. @@nodripsam7157there are a lot of good tutorials out there on how to hack a wii. you usually need an SD card for this. wii.hacks.guide/get-started installing the homebrew channel should be really easy, but when it comes to installing cios to run backups, that's a whole different thing I would do a video on how to mod a wii, but there's a lot of videos already. If you want to mod a wii you just need an SD card. That's all you need. If you dont have a computer, then a microSD with adapter will do the job
I can make a tutorial on that. I've been planning on doing one after this video hits 10K.. You need a few apps. You need to download the wii menu that matches your wii. I use modmii. In my case, I downloaded the 4.3u wii menu. After that, I searched for the wii menu file which is called 00000097 .app or something like that. Inside of this thing you can find a text file, you can get it by unpacking the 00000097 .app, which is something that you can do with another program. To open the text file, I needed another app, which is literally a Mario Kart Modding tool. "SZS modifier", if I'm not wrong. Ofc, I discovered, almost all of this by myself. I guess. But it was already possible before, somehow. Though, I imagine that people used a command prompt application to open the text file. Right now, SZS modifier has an interface so it's really easy to use. TL;DR: 1. Download wii.cs tools (includes U8Mii which is the app that you need for packing/unpacking) 2. Download SZS modifier (hardest thing to do, you have to right click the download button on the chadsoft page, and save the link as a file) 3. Download the system menu file that your wii uses. (after getting your files locate the 000000xx .app file!!) 4. After you have everything, open U8mii and unpack the .app file. 5. if you installed SZS modifier, you should be able to open the text file. It's called common.bmg and it's somewhere along the extracted system menu files. 6. Change any line of text that you want and close the app when u finish 7. pack the 000000xx .app extracted data with U8mii. After this, you have to install the app file to your wii. You may be able to do it with mymenuify or something (I don't remember) but if you can't, just create a csm with thememii and install it with mymenuify. Should apply the changes with no issues and there should be no risk of brick but proceed with caution anyway lol
I have a tutorial on how to change the text in the description The music can be changed with a document. I shared it with a few people here on the comments. I shouldn't be this lazy lol but you can search for it in here. It's a google doc with detailed instructions
song has to be in .wav format and be less than 1MB. You have to manually decompress the wii system menu file (which is a 000000xx .app file (something long those lines) and then open a certain file with brawlcrate. You can replace the menu music in brawlcrate, and then compress back the app file with another program. I could make a tuto soon. Someone else made the discovery of this, and said person even took the time to make a google document explaining how. Could share the doc just let me know 🙂

I made 12 of them and the rest found them somewhere. How did you change the sound of the Wii menu?
I have a tutorial somewhere on the comments, you may be able to change the menu music if you manage to fit a lossless audio file in less than 1MB. Kinda hard if you ask me..
I used a few programs for this, but at the end of the day, most of the work is done inside a smash brawl modding program. I don't know if there's other methods though

@@hsmreu how about a wii
@@nodripsam7157there are a lot of good tutorials out there on how to hack a wii. you usually need an SD card for this.

installing the homebrew channel should be really easy, but when it comes to installing cios to run backups, that's a whole different thing
I would do a video on how to mod a wii, but there's a lot of videos already. If you want to mod a wii you just need an SD card. That's all you need. If you dont have a computer, then a microSD with adapter will do the job

Hey I was wondering how you change the Wii text like the start button?
TL;DR:
1. Download wii.cs tools
(includes U8Mii which is the app that you need for packing/unpacking)
2. Download SZS modifier (hardest thing to do, you have to right click the download button on the chadsoft page, and save the link as a file)
3. Download the system menu file that your wii uses. (after getting your files locate the 000000xx .app file!!)
4. After you have everything, open U8mii and unpack the .app file.
5. if you installed SZS modifier, you should be able to open the text file. It's called common.bmg and it's somewhere along the extracted system menu files.
6. Change any line of text that you want and close the app when u finish
7. pack the 000000xx .app extracted data with U8mii. After this, you have to install the app file to your wii. You may be able to do it with mymenuify or something (I don't remember) but if you can't, just create a csm with thememii and install it with mymenuify. Should apply the changes with no issues and there should be no risk of brick but proceed with caution anyway lol

Because the Wii finger is on the middle finger 💀
He modified the pointer to flip you off/give the middle finger
how do you modify the song
song has to be in .wav format and be less than 1MB.

I don't know that one:/
How do we get those WADS in to our wii?
you need to install homebrew channel
through homebrew channel you can install any wad installer. I use wii mod lite. then you only need to find a wad that works with your wii
I don't remember much about this homebrew stuff so I'm not sure if the wad has to match the region. there are banner bricks and semibricks but I don't remember if the region has something to do with it. I guess not. Maybe it's enough to know which wads are meant to be installed on a wii and which ones on a vwii.

Why so much homebrew channel?
I made 12 of them and the rest found them somewhere. In all seriousness, it seems that having a lot of homebrew channel forwarders installed in a wii is a common thing in the community, probably as a flex (since they're usually customized, rare to find and they can also work to show just how much you know about this stuff). or maybe just for the shits and giggles. To me it's funny to have a wii menu full of them, so I decided to take it to another level 😮💨
