Hi all, in case it is helpful to others... I cooked this tonight. Left out the fennel (not that keen on the taste) and added an extra zucchini. Veg cooking time: 35 minutes at 200 degrees seemed enough. Cooking time for assembled lasagne: 40 minutes covered in alfoil at 180 degrees followed by 15 minutes uncovered at 200 degrees to make the cheese on top golden..
It's called corgette not zucchini
@@EhsanMusic It's spelled "courgette"
Very helpful, thanks! 👩🏻🍳👍
Hahaha you burnt the roaster
The food looks great and I'm happy you shared the recipe, but video is kinda off-putting by focusing too much on "looking good" with all the edits and slowmos. It feels more like an extended TV-commercial than a cooking segment. Also, the audio voice-over is really rough to listen to. Sounds overly compressed. Again, not taking anything away from the recipe, but yeah.... not feeling this kind of production plays well with the other content on Foodtube? Just my opinion
That is because it is a sponsored video. They are advertising the HotPoint kitchen gadgets.
Yeah, I just noticed/figured it out now after viewing a couple of other vids by The Happy Pear (all of which were so much more "normal" and appealing).
I understand you want subscribers, but misrepresenting my 6 month old constructive criticism is not the way to go about it. At least take a moment to learn what it actually means "to hate" something. By the by, you telling me to "shut up" for making a perfectly sensible comment on the audio production is exactly what "hating" is. "Just saying".
+Lars Christian Andersen Evenrud
well said. I don't see any hate in your comment. Just an opinion
I agree with you 100%. I found it very difficult to watch this video for the reasons you mentioned.
Slow motion when he close the fridge ? Really ?
+Dimitri Medveckyj Pretty sexy fridge though right? ;) MT

F*** you, Hotpoint... 😉😝
Lol I was thinking the same 😅🤦🏼♀️🤣🤣🤣
You forgot to mention the bake time, but the recipe was exceptionally well presented 👍🏻
Did I miss what temperature and how much time they baked that lasagne?
David J Yuan they mentioned 200 degrees, but not for how long.
30 minutes enough. I cook similar lasagna for many years
This is old, however. The lasagna is already cooked. Only the pasta needs to cook and the cheese to melt. So, just check that the cheese is brown. 20 minutes to 30 minutes or so.
until you smell it - thats how you know its done
These slowmo videos are kind of relaxing, or its me who's very tired these days , lol
Wow, this recipe looks amazingly gorgeous. I love so much this twin brothers and his unique vegetarian dishes. As my 19-year-old daughter has left behind eating meat, this lasagna with so many vegetables looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing. And definitely I will try it for a Sunday lunch. xxx
I made this tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I didn't put fennel in mine because I hate it, but I had a few mushrooms instead. Don't skimp on the sun dried tomatoes - they really do add a richness to it! So good! Mine was in the oven for about 18 minutes. Pasta cooked fine.
Got no problem with how the video was made, loved how you included the ingredients (surprising how often creators don't) in the description. My lasagne is sitting in the oven but just on the sauce alone I know its gonna be an absolute winner. Thanks lads!
I made this for tea tonight and it went down very well with the whole family! I'll be making it again 😊
Hey! How long does this go into the oven for and also how long do you roast the veggies for? At what temp? Thanks!
Also how many does this serve? :) thanks!
how long is the veg supposed to be roasted for???
Till it’s cooked
This was the best lasagna of my life! Making it again for my birthday dinner this week. Thanks guys!
HELP!!!! I am assembling this right now and went back to vid to see what temp and how long to bake...info is missing?????? Bake at what temp?? Bake for how long????
Hey Michael, sorry I didn't respond in time. How did it turn out? I tend to bake most things at 180 degrees celcius and I don't have a specific time length either - just until it looks cooked. You're aim is really just to get the pasta cooked, the sauce warm, and the cheese golden
Aleisha Kudrass I went back and watched it again x3..in the beginning, he mentioned 200 degrees...the uncooked noodle were a little too al dente. I have been reading that there are "oven ready" pastas, have to do a little research. I will make this again, this time trying cooked noodles. The roasted veggies was a great touch to the sauce. Thankx!
Jeez, what's up with all the slow mo? Did Zack Snyder film this?
I got the happy pear cookbook for Christmas and am making the leek and black bean chilli this week and can't wait! X
Wow this looks delicious! I'm definitely making this tonight. The roasted veg is making my mouth water. I've always made bechamel the Chef John way - hot roux + cold milk = no lumps. Thanks for this recipe :)
I don't know how to send photos but I must tell you that this is banging with flavor and this will be a regular dish when all the family come over. Simply delish. Thank you
It was very delicious, whole family loved it!
I tried the veggie lasagne and it was awesome. :)
I made this with my family! This was brilliant and fun. We devoured the whole lasagna
Have been making this lasagne for 4 years now, it has become a regular dinner in my household. It really is the ultimate veg lasagne!
Making this lasagne now and just found my comment here from 2 years ago. This recipe is still going strong! I will mention that I don't add cheese to the bechamel and I also don't use fennel in my version of this lasagne. You can modify it to your taste which is just great!
omg the editing made me cringe so hard
Me too
I find this editing to be very pleasing and enjoyable I don't get why people don't like it
I baked this for about 45 minutes. Use the appearance of the topping as your guide. Once the cheese is nicely browned, it's done. We all thought this was a fantastic recipe and wouldn't change a thing.
How long for in the oven?? Look out for golden brown for now
Swapped out the fennel for celery and sun dried tomatoes for tomato puree. Also added a splash of red wine to the sauce.
Utterly delicious!
I have made this lasagne several times now and I love it! It is the best veggie lasagne ever, every time I make it it goes faster than the meat lasagne. Love the video and the format, not sure why all the comments relating to slo mo etc., keep it up Happy Pear 😀
How long did you baked the vegetables and what temperature?
Just made this for dinner absolutely delighted with how it turned out! Delish
I'm a hardcore carnivore but I love veggie lasagna... Can't wait to give this one a try.
+AZ Patriot So you're omnivore then :D
I really love this recipe and the video! Thanks for sharing! The slow mo just did it for me. Super awesome guys! Thanks!
the commentary's AWESOME!!!
Great recipe and very tasty. But I had to guess oven temperature and cooking times. Also there should be a written method of cooking along with the ingredients list.
Del ici ous! I already cooked it twice! Even the Meateater are amazed:))))) Thanks Guys!
again, I loved how this was filmed, beautiful, makes the food look much cooler
This was so good! Best vegetarian meal of my life. Same for my boyfriend. Thanks for the recipe!
I love how this is filmed.
gonna try this for tomorrow's dinner party 😂
Looks delicious! And a hell of a lot quicker than making a whole bolognese ragu.
Made this veg lasagne today first time and was a massive hit so tasty 😊
looks gorgeous! love the combo, and not too cheesy. think I'll give this a try
Would appreciate bake times for both the vegies and the lasagna.
What's the alternative for balsamic vinegar for roasting the veggies? Does simple olive oil + salt + pepper work?
Thanks!
New family fav. We make this at least once a month. Love it !!
This was DELICIOUS!! The only change I made was some additional chilli flakes *chefs kiss*
Wow. More vegetarian recipes, please! This one was excellent.
these sponsored videos remind me more of television-commercials than their usual good content...
i did it today! it is amazing! everyone should try
Hey! How long do the veggies roast for and how long does the lasagne need to be in? At what temp? Thanks!
+RainbowSmile also how many does this serve?
Looks so good!
Made it and loved it! The roasted vegetables make the sauce more flavorful. If you can get past the strange editing then I would highly recommend this recipe.
Two sheets of pasta is not enought!
This looks so good. We love the recipes from Happy Pear lads :)
I tried this. It turned out really delicious!!
The meat in a lasagna makes it so perfect, I couldn't imagine the taste without.
You don't have to imagine. You can try it for yourself :).
+Nali Singh
vegetarian hindu.
+Dj Ruccy I'm agnostic and I'm not vegetarian. Not offended you're just wrong.
Nali Singh
I know you people from India (My parents are from India) don't eat beef and pork yet you eat lamb how hypocritical.
And I am an Atheist with a Indian Christian background.
+Dj Ruccy Do you really think every brown person must be exactly like your parents? I'm not from India! I'm Fijian Kiwi, sure I have Indian roots but I don't know where or when (at least 6/7 generations back) in India. The more you know.
How could you possibly know why I do what I do when you don't know me? We've never talked or met before. I make my choices and I'm influenced by many different things. None of which I have ever discussed with you.
Stop taking whatever issues you have against Indians/Hindus out on me. I can handle racism, but you're being an ignorant twat and that is irritating.
yeeeay love to see happy pear again...more veggies recipes please
I tried this today for dinner and it was so good! My boss likes it! 😊
Just made this, tastes amazing!
My favourite twins!
Thank you so much, I used the ultimate Tomate sauce in order to make a Milanesa... It came out so good. Regards.
I've made this lasagne two times in 2 weeks , it's delicious, my little one loves lobes loves it. Thanks
it was awesome!!!!!
Took these guys almost 5 minutes to prepare this meal..
I'm still going at it, been at least one hour. Actually more now.. 😊 but what makes it bearable is the chardonnay in between breaks... Can't wait to eat... just gone in oven..
Another 20 mins to wait 😅
I'll definatly have to make this, always did like vegetable lasagne's.
I love LASGAGNE!!!! lol
Loved this! Can't wait to try it myself
Tonight’s tea ..sorted!
Thanks for sharing! It looks yummy! Can't wait to try this😁
Long life Hotpoint !
I´m sure it´s delicious!
Want to make this using regular (boiled) lasagna noodles. Would I have to adjust any ingredients if doing this?
best veg lasagne recipe....
definitely trying this out
oooh yes, very nice indeed ... the lasagne doesn't look too bad either! ;) x
on the contrary i LOVvvve the edditing and love u too guys :D of course beside the recipe hehehe
But like...how long for the veg in the oven and the lasagna at the end?
looks nice, i was surprised you used cheddar
Yum 😘 look fantastic and delicious
Looks awesome !
Curious what you guys think about Dr Esselstyn’s position on all oil being unhealthy ?
You didn't mention the baking time for the lasagna. Or did I miss it?
so warmy and yummy dish
Do u have to boil the sheets of lasgne
Was the pasta sheet boiled prior or raw and put in oven
I did it, realy good!
I think this taste exactly like the beef counterpart but it is much much much healthier
I LOVE THE EDITING AND THE STYLE! Beautiful :)
Love this
I would probably add carrots, spinach and mushrooms too
I will try this, I'm curious if it can beat my vegetarian lasangea
i ll make it this look delicious
This is dam mouth watering 👄
What's a Lasgane?
same question
it's a flat pasta. the sheets you see him using in the layers? that.
Nishant Shetty
Oh, thanks. Now I know what Lasgane is.
+Max Mustermann Lasagne is actually any kind of layered dish. So, if you have slices of egg plant and you put meat (or whatever) in between - that's also a lasagne - it's not just pasta.
TopazDragon Oh, I thought we were talking about Lasgane?
Looks great! Wonder if you might be able to add some more slow motion shots next time?
+Christian Bekker Andersen Not enough right! ;)
luved it mate
should have done this vegan guys!
Veg lasagne are better without tomato sauce, trust me, I'm italian and give a try
Has anyone tried freezing this? Does it defrost well or turn very mushy?
Nothing is sexier than seeing a man in the kitchen cooking, well except maybe two men. Say, are they twins?
Top of the evening
looks delish
YOU NEVER TOLD ME TO TAKE OUT THE BAY LEAVES. I know this is obvious but still LOL
How long to bake the veggies
From a logistic standpoint, I'd suggest to start the veg and most importantly the garlic about 30 minutes before you do the tomatoes souse and bechamel. I ended up having everything ready, including the already roasted veg and waiting for the garlic to soften in the oven all alone.
