    This video is really helpful because your hair is the closest to mine that I've seen on YT. Hoping to start my loc journey at the end of May :)

    Yes your locks are gorgeous and fit your face very well. Seeing the fullness of your locks is inspiring. I am enjoying your journey...I started my original lock journey in August with 80 locks. I wanted sisterlocks but the price was a draw back for me...After watching diy videos on microlocks, I then slowly took the 80 locks apart from August 4th to September 4th 2018. create 450 microlocks.
    I am 2 months in as of yesterday.
    Be blessed!

      Sorry for the late response, but that's awesome. I love locs on little girls. Did you ever get started? How'd it go?

    How many locks do u have? Did you do them yourself? If so....how did u start them them( two strand twist, interlocks, braids)? How long was your first started the microlocs? I'm considering microlocs but my first choice was sisterlocks. They are beautiful and fit your face well.

    TFS your regiment Your hair is gorgeous. I am 7mths microloc and need all the advice I can get. Can you tell me how you got the shells on your hair and do they easily come off. Thanks

    • @whosJMarie
      @whosJMarie  5 років тому +1

      unaweza thank you! That’s actually a great idea for a quick video! I actually just use the crochet needle to put the shell on and then use an elastic band to hold it on. It doesn’t come off easily while wearing, but it is very easy to remove once you’re ready.

    Do you let your hair dry with the braids still in after a wash? It looks so good!

    • @whosJMarie
      @whosJMarie  5 років тому

      Usually just half way unless I'm leaving them in over night.

    Your locs are gorgeous! I just finished installing 2 strand twists. Like you, I'm not crazy about the size and I wish they were smaller. However, since I will be maintaining them myself, I don't want to create more work for myself. If mine look similar to yours in 4 months, however, I cannot wait!!! Beautiful

    • @whosJMarie
      @whosJMarie  5 років тому

      Marissa McGill Thank you! Maintenance is def a bigger factor than many tend to consider prior to installation. I have really grown to love the size of my locs and glad I went with my first instinct since I absolutely HATE sitting for long periods of time. Good luck on your journey!!

    I always hear others say don’t use jbco on locs , that say it’s too heavy and to use jojoba or olive . But idk . Just the research I’ve been doing before I start mines

      I probably wouldn't recommend it starting out, but leading into the colder weather months, it has worked for me to holding in moisture when I refresh my hair. I def wouldn't recommend it for daily use.

    I just found that product as well and use it the same about once a month as well. I might should add tree oil also. It’s seems to work for me too.
