As a Raiders fan, I firmly believe Carmen Bricillo was the biggest offseason upgrade the Giants made this year (not named Malik nabers). I will say that while the pass blocking far exceeded expectations, our team's run blocking over the last two years has been underwhelming. We'll see whether that was a scheme issue or a talent issue, but we couldn't run the ball between the tackles to save our life despite having JJ & Zeus last year.
I could definitely see Thib's technique improving with Martindale gone. I remember when he was with the Ravens our edge rushers would consistently have low sack production, despite the blitz heavy scheme providing an overall decent pass rush floor. I wasn't tracking the advanced pass rush metrics at that time but wouldn't be shocked if they were also pretty bad in PRWR, and just were less lucky than Thibs on actually getting the sacks
2022 was literally the only season Daniel Jones didn't miss a game due to injury. He's missed multiple games every other season and ended two of them on IR. He does have a significant injury history.
One big thing alot of people don't know is the edge group being coached by Andre Patterson unlike the seasons before and I fully expect Burns and Kayvon to take a big step because of this

Elite Player tracker: 1. Dexter Lawrence, DT (95 ovr) 2. Patrick Surtain II, CB (94 ovr) Who is gonna be our next elite player? Because I have a hunch that the Raiders will be in the next 2 or so vids, I'd bet it's Tae and Mad Maxx. This would also be our first team with two elite players.
As a Raiders fan, my biggest issue with Carmen Briscillo was his lineup choices. I still have no idea what happened between him and John Simpson to this day. The dude was an ascending quality starting guard on a rookie contract, and he benched him for Alex Bars, who was an absolute liability the entire season, then cut him for no reason just to sign another 35 year old journeyman backup the next year for more money. He also only runs a power rushing scheme to my knowledge, and I just think that the zone blocking scheme is superior, so I was happy when I saw he left tbh.

Elite Player tracker:
1. Dexter Lawrence, DT (95 ovr)
2. Patrick Surtain II, CB (94 ovr)
Who is gonna be our next elite player?
The pain of knowing your team will either be in the next 5 or in the top 15, and no inbetween
