We used to sing this song in my high school more than 10 years ago. I just woke up with it in my Spirit. It is such a beautiful assurance for me from God. The Battle belongs to the Lord! Glory, honour, power and strength to the Lord!
This song helped me make it through the early parts of my military career from early 1990. I was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia (just outside of Augusta) when I first heard this song. I know this is a commonly-sung tune in many churches, but I like this Petra version the best.

@@ASSman864 Ive been searching around for a "complete" version of this song (just tonight), and this wasn't it, but apparently this vet was able to take solace in it. I think it's important to recognize that some people take solace in things you might not expect, and it is important to leave space for other perspectives

This song ministered to me while I was a soldier in the U.S. Army back in the early 90's. I first heard it while I was at my Advanced Individual Training (A.I.T.), or Army job training, back in 1990. It touched me then, and it's still effective now.

1995 is when I joined the army national guard. That was the beginning of my searching Christ. HE is AWESOME!
I just finished reading the story of David and Goliath, and I just had to listen to this song. No matter what trials we face or whoever our giants might be we must remember God will fight our battles for us.
When a person has been hurt by those who he trusted, then they need to listen to this song. It helps to pick you back up. Your power is in HIS HOLY NAME OF JESUS.

The Lord God will fight our battles for us if we will let go and allow him to do so. We can't win without Him anyway, so why don't we just allow him to fight for us! He can call 10,000 angels to assist. Meantime, we are powerless unless we call upon our Wonderful Jesus! I love you, Lord. Help me do your will.

Amen. And hey, could everybody pray for me? I've been struggling with lust big time. Also, my brother Julian needs prayer, his Nanna has Meningitis. A bacterial infection that attacks the brain. And haven't heard back from him, but I have faith that brother Dennis' toe infection is healed, but none the less. So yeah...I've been fighting the good fight, but you're right, Father, please, I need you.

David would not wear Saul's armor, cause he was used to wearing GOD'S Armor. He was already wearing Spiritual Armor, from the LORD.

Me too. I am in the midst of a battle. The more you let go and let God, the easier it gets. You don't have to fight as hard b/c the Lord fights for you. I am still doing my part too. God be with you my friend wherever you go.

He should have looked into what civil people were in Judah and this would have stopped the wars. According to this book, God was always in charge in their warfare!!! Should we today have an army?! @AliasFox1. For sure, religion has made a lot of it's own rules. So very few of them have anything to do with Lord Jesus. I can feel ya on that one. When we put God's word up against what they call Religious doctrine and dogma. It's real clear. They aint centered on the Lord, just them selves and thier Feel Good Club. Seldom do we find a minister who is familiar with what Jesus taught and actually practices it.
