Superman has always been one of my favorite characters, so I am happy to talk about him and I love DC comics so anytime I can talk about them I will. Bro people miss the point of Superman. He's the change that the world needs. He's about the potential good of humanity in the face of the current evil of humanity (especially against Luthor) We don't need to watch him fighting physically. We should watch him fighting morally.

I'm confused the Kill bill quote didn't change the fact that Superman stands for Hope.
I have often thought that I would watch 90 minutes of superman doing mundane (for him) tasks, you know stopping a flood, rescuing a cat from a tree, stopping by a grade school. And I would walk out of the theatre happy.
I agree 1000%! Superman, Clark is an amazing character that people do not want to try to understand. Because understanding Clark Kent "Superman" means examining your own morality, and humanity. And that is uncomfortable.
I like the idea that I can be like "Super Man" I like your point of view on how we can make a difference in the world! I look forward to the next video!

I really liked your video! I’m a huge Superman fan, and I liked Man of Steel for the most part. I would have liked Superman to evolve into the character you describe. I think when people say they want more realistic superhero’s they are saying that they have to earn the title. In real life, if aliens came to Earth, we would naturally have distrust of them. That being said, due to the fact that they even made it to Earth they could potentially be more altruistic than humans. Granted it was ingrained by the Kents, I think it was something inside of Kal.
this is exactly the vid i needed to see, as i’ve dived more into comics Ive lost my stigma on superman. I used to be one of those haters till I saw what he actually is. This vid helps a lot with conveying that feeling, and the speech at the end makes me see that superman is the most relatable of all hero’s and I wanna be that good. My manager asked me if ive ever seen the snyder cut of justice league and I said no cause i didn’t like the snyder verse superman, he’s too edgy and not really what superman really is and it does the same for a lotta heroes in that universe. Here’s hoping the Gunn verse is better, long live superman (really wish that rocksteady ended up working on that rumored superman game rather than suicide squad)

I think we all can agree that the evil Superman trope needs to take a break; I think it’s gotten to the point where not just the fans, but even the writers have forgotten who he is and what he is supposed to represent: Justice, kindness and self-control and NOT an emotional, snarky, jerk that he is today.
It’s also the same reason I don’t like modern Batman; starting from Injustice to now, the writers have focused so hard on his cynical nature to make him seem more edgy and mature to the point where that’s all he is: cynicism with legs and a cowel with little to no humanity whatsoever or having any companionship with his teammates, especially Clark and Diana which both were good friends in TAS , JL and U.
Great video, also I think it's more realistic that an ultra powerful person would be good because if they were a regular person because people are on the whole, good.

I loved Man of Steel because I felt like it was realistic in the sense that it felt modern. It's hard to step out and be the line in the sand when you grew up on middle America values and being the embodiment of an illegal alien😂. But basically I felt like that was the messy first step leaning towards Superman for future films. Sadly WB completely fumbled the bag
Every time I hear anyone who says they dislike Superman because he is old fashion or too good, or too perfect, and he is better when he is evil or dark, I lost hope in humanity.....they truly don't understand Superman, I have a friend like this, he also love MOS, also I LOVE MOS I take it as a start point before Clark become the beacon of hope he will be.......at least that what I assume Snyder wanted to do...and then I saw BVS and....I lost more hope in humanity T.T......my favorites stories of Superman are the ones focusing on his everyday life or just small issues or just he been the good boy he is........I loved Batman and Superman World Finest because shows this amazing contrast of them one been a the best of humanity despite been an alien and the other gaining his hope in normal people because even BATMAN sees Clark as the best of all of them, just because....he is CLARK, and their banter is always so fun, I hate what Snyder did with them in BVS......my all time favorite Superman thing is SUPERMAN VS THE ELITE, it perfectly en capture everything what Superman stand and his morals and show you that NEVER EVER SUPERMAN WILL CROSS THAT LINE, he believe in US, he believe in HUMANITY, nothing, not even Lois losing her life will make Clark cross the line (F INJUSTICE I hate that game and comics), read KINGDOM COME to all the dumbass who believe Clark will turn evil if Lois get kill....hell the Joker is the responsible one again there and Clark didn't turn evil and became a dictator.....again I love else stories as long they made SENSE, Injustice makes zero sense....and a better injustice was done twice in the DCAU both Brave New Metropolis and A Better World, those Superman makes sense, yes they do things Clark our Clark will never do, but still feel like the things they did was in the realm of what Clark could do and they still have a moral code even if corrupted, not like the psycho Injustice Superman is. I'm so happy now is looking that the OLD FASHION Superman is coming back........Superman and Lois and My Adventures with Superman both shows have a good portrait of Clark Kent as the dorky and gentle person he always is, and both versions have great charm and chemistry with their Lois.....and if James Gunn is not BS us, I think his Superman will arc back to a good Superman who will be incorruptible and the ideal best version of our self, I HOPE HE DOES THAT. Excellent video man, 100% agrees, I hope this dumb opinion go away, Superman, Batman and Spiderman are my favorites super heroes, I really want to see the red and blue boy scout back in the big screen, portrait as he should............I feel bad for Henry Cavill, I think he could have been a PERFECT SUPERMAN if not was for the 2 psychos who wrote his version (David Goyer and Zack Snyder), they never understood who superman is and doomed Henry chances.......I hope the next one will get a better chance.

I fully agree with this video, as Superman is way more than most people think of him. Of course, I have some issues with Man of Steel because I think the character called Kal-el or Clark Kent isn't Superman, not the real one. He's not a small town guy in the movie, and and the whole "Superman is Jesus" thing is really dumb.

When people say it's realistic it's because if a alien came to earth, dressed as a vigilante and save people, people would worship him, government would fear him, some people may view him as a hero some may hate him, religions would pop up worshiping him, some people may be jealous of him , some would say no one could be that pure he has some plan to destroy the world.
Zack snyder superman is a realistic when superman and zod fight building being destroyed innocent people dying its realistic fight scene between demi God.
Religions may view him as the anti christ, some people may feel nihilistic that they not special anymore humans not special to the universe because aliens exist. Zack snyder superman is the closest portraying of superman

I prefer a variety of Superman. Kind of like a Zack Snyder approach. Good, but with a serious approach on life. Realistic take. Evil Superman has always been the best style for me. Just to see how far he would go at his maximum rage or rogue level. I've been reading so many Superman ebooks about the different takes on Superman. It really doesn't matter to me. I'm not one of those guys that really cares about a near perfect Superman with all the powers doing everything for good. If I want that, I'll go and watch Christopher Reeves movies. That is why the DCU is failing because near perfection is lame and people want superheroes that are realistic and have flaws. Plus the normal S is a complete disgrace compared to the symbol Snyder created for the New 52.
