Yes 'not too hot ' simple kissing scene is the best.. that's why I like this drama, I don't watched dramas for the past 10yrs and this Royal Feast catch my attention. I don't like intense kissing scene it's over acting, especially if no connection 😂
I really like the drama Royal Feast ...Xu Kai portrays a domineering yet gentle affectionate and lovely character to the character of Wu Jingyan who is smart calculating caring too to him...aside from he is a very talented warrior to defend his country/empire
Wu Jinyan looks so pretty in the close-up photo on Xu Kai's lap. I liked Xu Kai's youthfulness in the Story Yanxi Palace and his excellent portrayal of the character Fuheng. Xu Kai looks to have lost weight and is overworked. He needs to take care of his health or else he will not have work if he gets sick. Health is wealth.
I am so much into this drama... finished in three days watching day and night. But still the hangover remains a fresh.. the l ove between pairs that could be felt with their eyes... relation and trust between besties that was something worthy to watch. every character had justified their role.
Their acting for their two characters is so understated and subtle compared to their previous takes on Wei Ying Luo and Fu Heng. Every look and touch is measured and intense, their conversation poetic and gentle. I would like some more passion the way they were with the food feasts in this series, LOL.
I am officially OBSESSED with this movie, Zhu Zhanji and Zijin. We need a lot more episodes or atleast an extended version. I liked the movie so much I started researching the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty (Hongwu) and his predecessors. Very fascinating

Acting and costumes were lovely. Just out of this world authentic detail. Can't lie though: disappointed at insufficient soft fluffy moments between ML and FL, and very little actual kissing. I mean, do they even consummate their marriage? (What a waste of Xu Kai's enthusiastic kissing skills.)
