I'd whish there was a medbay in SCU form factor to load into any ship with a big enough cargo hold. I'd happily trade some cargo space on my ship for a mobile respawn point.
@@fidel4023 That is a valid argument, however the measure of a ship isn't necessarily it's specialty, but it's versatility. For example, one thing that would make the C8X an even more jack of all trades is the ability to sacrifice cargo capacity for extra seats, turning it into a true shuttle/troop transport, taking advantage of it's small profile and nimble handling characteristics. Let's be fair, using it as a cargo ship sucks. When Cousin Crow's Custom Craft goes fully online with being able to swap out modules with larger ships, it would be nice to have that in a limited capacity for smaller ships to tailor a person's ship to their wants and needs.
@@PMMcIntyre Versatility should not exist for ships that are not Capital ships, or crew ships that are meant for long missions. As many 'medical' functionalities short of a spawnpoint and fractured healing can be done using pens, in the current state of the game it just makes no sense to add Medical to everything. Thankfully CIG is greedy and following your suggestion will result in them losing sales on dedicated Medical Vessels so that's the only saving grace that what you're hoping for won't happen. @@fidel4023 A ship that's too specialized will only be relegated to that role and cannot be used in a multi-function role that solo play relies upon. For example, I am a full time medic and taxi. I rescue downed players and get to them to a hospital or I take them from point A to point B. For those rolls I run a C8X and a C8R. I tend to steer more towards a C8R because of the med bed, but being able to replace the cargo space with two extra seats would give the taxi role more versatility when transporting more than two people. No other ship that size fits into that role. The Cutlass is too big and slow and the Cutter suffers from the same drawbacks. Another option would be to sacrifice cargo space or weapon hardpoints for extra fuel. Being able to swap out spaces dedicated for one thing in return for another, like cargo for seating, will not change the overall game in any way or ruin CIG's bottom line. It's simply giving players additional options in a solo role. Pens and medguns are only temporary measures that briefly alleviate symptoms. You still need a med bed to fully heal and only certain tiers can heal certain injuries. Only a Tier 1 bed can fully heal you of the most severe injuries. The best that a tier 2 or 3 can do is heal minor injuries and stabilize you until you can get to a ship with a Tier 1 or a hospital, so those ships aren't going to be ruined by modifications to smaller ships. The best I can ever do with a Cutlass Red or a C8R is heal minor injuries or transport someone who is stabilized to a hospital.
I own both the C8R and the Nursa. I Like the Nursa because it fits Much better in the cargo bay of my A2 Hercules when I have my Centurion Vehicle loaded at the same time, (I can also fit extra vehicles now because of the extra space saved)
Okay for me the winner is the Ursa. But i think this thing is pretty weird.. like it makes the whole game different.. For example i melted my apollo medivac because now i just put the Ursa into my Connie or whatever and be good. Only reason id use a Pisces over the Ursa is on something like the Carrack because it already has a medbed and i rather have a medic pisces in it when i have to land somewhere while letting the carrack hover above ground and have some other land vehicle in it. Honestly i think the Ursa medivac is kinda overpowered in a sense that it can make medic ships for most cases obsolete.
It only seems OP to folks who forgot lower tier beds will eventually be worse at regen - and that they won't be able to heal more significant injuries.
I completely agree, it changes the whole game around respawning and death. And while definitely overpowered in the current system, we’ll have to see how future updates affect this (esp with death of a spaceman)!
Now a NURSA is more important to have pledged, since you cant buy ingame and the C8R is very cheap, later on, none, since vehicles are cheap and the C8R is too, maybe in the future if things get more expensive.
The medical bed can now respawn. Its god send for bunker missions. Wanted to try a narcotic run but I am not good enough pilot to immediately land on a turret blindspot.
I upgraded my C8X to the C8R the moment it went live. It really fits my fleet better now. That said, most of the time, the Nursa is more practical. I can put it in the back of a Mercury or 600i and now I've got a med bed in a ship that outclasses either the C8R or the Cutty Red.
I'm thinking of upgrading my 400i to a reworked 600i, that's if I can fit a C8R Pisces or NURSA (former preferred) and an 85X off to the side, off of the ramp? These options are based on the interior configuration of the reworked 600 (armory versus _____)?
I think it depends on you. The c8r is good because it’s all in one while the ursa needs a taxi to bring it close enough to drive but seems a bit tougher?
If we knew for sure the C8R will fit on the reworked 600i drop lift, I might've just grabbed that, but I grabbed the MURSA as a sure thing. I'll probably end up grabbing both if the Pisces does indeed fit.
Does Nursa fit into Spirit C1? I already have the C8R, but I love vehicles so would love to have Nursa as well. My only problem is, Spirit C1 is the biggest ship I have so if Nursa doesn't fit in that, I have no ship to carry a Nursa in sadly.
personally i'm going with the cargo variant of each in the Carrack to make looting easier. there is little reason at the moment to keep a medical snub within a medical ship unless participating in an Org skirmish and needing to regularly respawn several players at a time, which in that case a Carrack with a C8R and two Nursa's would be a great so that a team can respawn 4 people at once in the same location. but ideally for general gameplay: Carrack+Ursa+small vehicles > Corsair/etc+Nursa > CutlassRed+Pulse > C8R+Pulse. spend as high as you're capable. if you are focused on doing rescue beacons, then skip the Carrack altogether.
I’d run both if given that option, otherwise it’ll depends if you need the hangar for anything else. If not, then the C8R makes an excellent pairing if you had to choose between the two!
I'd whish there was a medbay in SCU form factor to load into any ship with a big enough cargo hold. I'd happily trade some cargo space on my ship for a mobile respawn point.
I’d love a smaller mobile med bed, maybe it’s something we’ll get in the future!
That’ll defeat the purpose of medical ships. We need specialised gameplay not jack of all trades everything

I heard it was available in ND on Hurston was I lied to?
You can't buy the nursa in game yet, usually have to wait for about two patches before available in game
Anything that was a war bonded item will not be available in game for purchase for about 3 months
That’s an awesome point, the Nursa isn’t purchasable in game yet! And it fits on a lot more ships!

I love your videos!!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you like my content!
I’m leveraging all sides for the next ten patches! I own both plus a Cutty Redd for those long days out in the black!

It would be nice to see a list of ALL of the ships you have rated and their scores. Do you plan on revisiting ships after 3.24?
I appreciate the suggestion! I don’t have any plans atm but I may have to create a master list at some point!

I may have went a little over the top, I own both and they are permanently paired with my Carrack for flexibility in mission and medical rescue.
Cutlass Red. Though most of the people I know have a Apollo.
The Cutty red is an awesome ship, albeit with a much larger footprint!
@@ViciDeum A bigger footprint but with 2 beds bigger bang for it.

C8R is like 444k in game. no brainer. I wish you could buy the Nursa in game.
Soon enough you will!
Equip the Pisces with 2 pioneer missiles and 2 ballistic yellow jackets, why?, because looks cool and anyway are barely useful
Pices needs a drop ship variant
You could always throw a few folding chairs in the back of a C8X 😉
