Ha! Was just watching another guitar ‘teacher’ showing off playing hyper-fast wanting…rather than reaching. Don’t get it. I’ve had hundreds of piano/violin lessons, and? Never once did any teacher, to start off a lesson, play a hugely advanced bit at top speed!

I often wonder how many years I could have saved if I had met Justin when I first learned guitar. Now so much time is spent fixing bad habits, mistakes and filling in the huge gaps I completely missed. Still having fun mind, thankyou Justin.

Tell me about it. Me too years. And only just this lesson REALISING how scales go together with the root note .
The improvising and putting our chords together with it
I never understood any of this .
The potential fro.this is phenomenal for me..
      I'm so happy

Justin, you're excellent. I started playing two years ago on my accoustic following your old beginner lessons, and now I'm having so much fun playing on both accoustic and electric after following a bunch of your lessons. Keep up the amazing work, you're inspiring to young and old music lovers

This is top tear advice, I know my C.A.G.E.D scales up and down the fret board, but I have always had trouble combining them. This is a pure diamond.

As soon as you are able to combine at least 2 patterns and learn to USE it, you have a lot already to work with when improvising or writing phrases. A lot of people spend days memorizing scales without actually using them. knowing how to get milage out of 2 shapes bets memorizing all unused patterns. | LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Assistant

Thank you Justin. Your teaching skills are incredible - arguably the best on the guitar channels. Every time you speak I find resonance as an intermediate player and one who first started of on my 'guitar journey'. Your humility belies your skill on the instrument. PS : I AM religiously following this series. I am profoundly grateful to you. A donation is imminent to express this.

Hey! Justin. I'm from Bangladesh. So many miles away from Australia. We don't speak the same language even our cultures are different. But music is the one thing that drew me towards you. I bought my first guitar 3 years ago and from then till now I've been following your methods and styles. Everything on guitar I play today is all because of you. Thank you, Thank you so much! You are a fantastic teacher. You are the best in my opinion.

Been with you for a fair few years now Justin. I love the lighting and setup you are using these days. Very minimalist which I like. Is the background a “green screen”. If so, it’s very effective. All the best.

So when I started playing guitar 3 and a half years ago I never thought I would end up learning the scales. Tbf I am learning them on Bass first because that is higher up on the priority list as I am the bassist in a band. Granted our lead guitarist does not know any and he never even played on the highest 2 strings. But when I started I did not even imagine ever being in a band. So what can I say the goal post always moves and I really enjoy these videos for teaching scales quite well. And especially in a structured way instead of looking up a separate video for each single one.

Ive followed your excellent tutorials and learned quite a lot due to your explanation techniques that i could grasp and understand easily. Ive lost years understanding the scales but picked it up with your help. Just need to practice now and learned the others that you will post. Thank you for explaining very very well. I do request if you could put out a video of the combined picking, up/down or both , with jam track, showing notes hit with left hand together with the picking at same time, with the two strings 3or4 or thinnest 2 strings. Thank you once more. Happy jamming.

Hey Justin I was watching your lessons on the app I’ve been practicing and I got to the G chord and I was wondering if I could get away with playing the g chord with my pinky as that’s how I’ve learned to play it in past with my last three fingers and it makes transitions to A B E and C really easy

I have been doing the major class for 2 months now and I can play up and down the first 3 positions really good now and and move from one position to the other but I feel kinda stuck. I still can't seem to come up with cool licks/ solos like a John mayor kinda thing yet. Maybe I'm rushing it or something. I just can't seem to put the 3 scales into actual licks and make them sound good yet and idk where to begin with doing it.
