To get USB 3-4 on track 8 to play audio you have to choose it as output 3&4 in your DAW, not sure if GarageBand offers this option but other DAWs like Cubasis do. I just got my L8 today and this was the first problem I ran into but figured it out in Cubasis. Hope this helps anybody.
Have you looked at the iRig duo units? They are designed for this. Sound is OK and setup is a breeze. Use it just like you would use your effect pedal but with the IOS software effects.
@@DebErney indeed, now i am sure the mixer definitely will let me use vst with my bass or guitar in the DAW, thank you very much for your consideration
Are you powering the zoom with the Apple lightning cable? Or do you have batteries in the zoom? I've noticed I have to use batteries my apple power cable will not work???
Hello..interesting vid but it's not clear if I can record 8 tracks from my iPad (with Cubasis) into 8 tracks of the Livetrak L8?the USB is two way but also 8 I/O recording?thanks
@@lmayes69uh, objection, your honor. You can output the master mix (ch1&2 on the USB) and all individual channels (USB ch3-13) via USB, allowing for live recording on your computer/iOS device AND subsequent postproduction on your DAW using the individual tracks. Inputs 1-6 are mono, 7 is stereo (USB 9: 7L, USB 10: 7R) and 8 also (USB 11/12 = 8L/8R)
This is dope.
oh.... you rock! okay i just purchased this.

Hi! Is it true that it does not work with M1 MacBook?
I’m using it with my M1 MacBook without problems.
Can I use Zoom L-8 as an audio interface for Leading Sunday Worship on Zoom Call ( I need two mic and one Guitar to plug-in)
I haven't tried it. I did a search "livetrak l-8 with zoom call" and found this video that may help you. ua-cam.com/video/Rk7r5GyL9-Y/v-deo.html

I've got batteries in and had to use the hub with it.
@@DebErney Thanks Deb!

I’ve never tried it, but I think the out is only 2 I could be wrong you may want to contact Zoom.
I know this is an old comment but the interface is only a 4 out interface so the most you would be able to record is 4 but its really 2 stereo outs
