These are really good suggestions. I would reiterate the idea that the Mercenary aura be displayed on the Mercenary character sheet. I don't know how all the auras look like, so I literally have to go and google it to see which merc has which aura
100% agree on the Jah/Lo discussion. Sorc Orb runeword could be an interesting midgame option. I think also a helm with Strafe oskill or a Shield that uses Jah and possibly Lo as well would be a good way to boost it further.
Also: add a feature on the site so that every account can have 3 items they put up as "in search of" and the site tells another user that has said item in his stash that somebody is looking for that item. probably most useful for stuff that isn't obviously valuable.
An item that could corrupt LOD zones would be cool. So you could "map" but in the base game. I know there are corrupted zones already but density sucks in them still. A boss drop that corrupts the whole world and ups density would be awesome IMO cause i get tired of mapping pretty quickly. Just a thought
I think they should increase keys drop rates. Farming keys is so tedious, key farmers should be rewarded for their effort. At start of season 9 I literally had over 80 countess runs IN A ROW with 0 key drop. That's the opposite of fun.
the best thing for S10 would be the appearance of random Izual-tier demibosses at random. game needs more challenge. 1mo in you can get a stash full of skillers for like Mals. I know about dungeons, maybe those could be made more accessible. also I worry about 4mo seasons- I think it's over too soon while being too much of a time investment. one mo ting- make it easier to group up- what if we had games that were 8 player- but with 1 slot for each class. you could queue up- n then wait for a full team like in other games that you wait for a full team for. that would be cool- n u get full class synergy. maybe you cpuld tick a box- that it is a dungeon game- n then it holds the game until 1 of each class is full or u have option to go with 5 or 6... either way, I think more game options wpuld be cool. like u could make games for Assassins only or something. or just totally curate what classes r allowed. u know what Im saying.
well this is one of the reasons i try to focus on some suggestions targeting making grouping up for dungeons worth it, while making them more interesting and varied!
If there is one single thing I could choose for S10, it would be the SSF ladders. There are many options and solutions to affiliate engagement and players interaction.
i am soooo glad you did the warlord of boss drop buff suggestion. idk if you took that from my feedback in the discord channel or who you got it from but regardless yess 10000000% agree that guy is way too tough, that map is way to long and annoying and difficult to run for the current rewards from it. Not to mention the map frequently drops with a very low MF% mod for some reason, at least it has had under 30mf on the mod every time I've gotten it, which seems like intentional trolling from the devs against builds that use no MF and require the normal 70ish-155% mf mod that should be spawning on a t3 map like warlord map, and since you cannot reroll unique maps thats a massive bummer.
also agree 100% with the jewel drop rate thing in fallen gardens, good rare jewels are still among the most expensive items in the game, and considering usually you need multiple of them very few people ever get 1 let alone complete their character before season ends or they burn out
Poison Nova needs a buff. Death's web is far to weak considering it's one of the most rarest items in the game. The build also needs a buff for early and mid-tier which is often overlooked. I suggest to buff the synergies with a few % and to add 5% more poison damage to the trang gloves or to the negative res from the trang set bonus.
I'd love it if the codeboys would remove the Hydra nerf introduced in Season 5, which prevents the skill from benefitting from resistance penetration. It's the only reason I stop using it after Normal A5. No way to deal with immunes if you go full hydra. €dit: Keep doing that voodoo that you do, DarkHu. Best boi in the community. For improving on Mind Blast I was thinking since there is always a chance for the Shadow Warrior to cast Mind Blast, why not just make it cast more consistent? It should subtly improve the out put of damage and and make your summon more useful. OR maybe just have a runeword or unique have additional Shadow Warriors. Summon Assassin? lol
Adding more shadows is a clever idea. But it needs to actually do damage. Say it's level should match it's skill and synergies or use a different oskill with a similar damage table. It probably shouldn't be able to cast more blasts than you can even if you have like 3 or 4 though. Hell even if it did no damage and just knocked back like the OG skill, i'd be happy. Maybe just keep the AOE size increases, at a low rate, and i'd be happy, it's already ludicrously good though.
I don’t know if this was mentioned, but I suggest they could let us bind a “force move” key on the keyboard and not limited on the mouse only that would be great as some of us are having trouble on the wrist. Thank you

Thank you sir. I disagree about souls in LoD content for two reasons: 1. I like the challenge -- skills, items and drop rates are buffed incommensurately to LoD content, meaning you very quickly roll over everything. Souls are one of the last bastion of thrill in LoD; 2. Unbeknownst to most players, Blackhorn's Face -mostly- neutralizes souls with +5% max light res and 10-20 light absorb. Add a little flat mdr from other pieces of gear and you take ~0 dmg from WSK/Throne souls that don't have conviction. I know because I run Izual and Baal very early every ladder without difficulty on HC, at a cost of just 1-3wss for the Blackhorn.
yeah you can use this item, but other problems exist in this mod in worldstone that have nothing to do with souls as well. Just being squishier in general + lack of payout makes chaos much more appealing.
They should revert Death sentry values to season 2 as these days wouldn't be the most OP build anymore with so much more viable and powercreepd builds since the early days
hmmm im not sure about this. Season 2 death sentry was insane. Wake of Fire is still one of the strongest builds. Death Sentry could a be a bit stronger though. It's already decent for group-mapping though.
its tough to nerf this though. Low level blade shield probably wouldn't do anything. It's whole identity is enabling proc builds. But i do think it could be contrued as "too strong" somewhat.
i stopped playing week 4, played almost every 5 , 4-8 hours a day and mapped the shit out of it and the drops were a joke… i never had this bad luck. i would do 20 maps every day and get almost nothing. all season i got 8 UMS and 3 ISTs after 100 maps plus i did even more LOD content I would do Pits, Cows, Arcane, Trav, act 5 3 mini boxes and i would do 50 of those, than i would do them every day , the other days i would do 20-30 maps and still such crap items. I did build 3 good characters but it was all off WSS’s… selling items for 1-3 maybe 5 wss once in a while… such a long drag and so much trading to get currency to build characters. Just felt like such a drag this season, I played all 9 and this season was by far least fun. Due to no high runes and items, corrupt % was 75% for me , not 25%.. i think there was a bug because my whole inventory was stacked with 5-6 of the same items and the not so good ones .. kept getting same items to the point of ???… and again how no drops after sooo much time. Hopefully next season won’t be the same for me as an experience but u guys put in the work so respect
We need increased difficulty and improved drops. Act 6 would be nice if possible. New corruption stone (maybe from a new boss) that would work on rune words, which will give a random number of empty sockets and keep the runeword in tact. Imagine a 6os botd, I'd say 50% brick chance, which will break the runeword or keep it in tact and give a random number of open sockets. 50% 1os, 30% 2os, 20% 3os, 10% 4os, 5% 5os, 2.5% 6os.
As far as suggestions goes i'd kinda like to see an energy shield runeword. Could be on a helmet, armor, but hopefully not a shield to give you the choice. As for it's strength, i'd say it could go many ways, even a low level ES requires very little damage to mana affixes to turn it into a free damage reduction buff. But a higher level one isn't so easy to work with. I loved the ES spear, it just kind of sucks for dps, tried amazon, wolf, etc, very tanky but your damage is a joke even with high energy. I kind of wish you could choose your absorption and to mana ratio without needing two different skills though. I'd like to see exile's defiance level raised significantly to completely negate the defiance nerf, it's an extremely expensive item with decrepify that breaks your ability to curse in the first place, don't nerf it more than needed o_o Berserk needs to work with both dual wield or two handed. I'd like to see wolfhowl add 20% melee range to compensate for not using fury. I wish the sin's zeal kick (dragon talon i think?) would stop kicking when there are no enemies. I wish holy sword would allow polearms and scythes , paladins have good weapon speed for these but i can't make those builds (well i could... But long story)Rename it holy blade or sumfin. I wish beast wouldn't suck. It honestly should be a unique weapon. Hell i'd make a two handed and one handed version, 5-6 sockets. Just so you could maul things instead of having to use normal attacks. Make it level 1 skills if you have to. 40 weapon ias is absolute crap lol. It needs more modularity. Even 3-4 sockets would open up builds. I'd rework the entire immunes/resists thing. No more immunes. Just extremely high resists (say uo to 95%) but nerf resist penetration so you can't get much more than say 40-50% with BIS gear for those high in penetration builds. This is honestly the only reason i've not been playing half the builds out there. Immunes is terrible, terrible design, resists is great design. I'd tolerate it in t4, but even there, just bump up the HP and let the high resists do the heavy lifting. Monsters with 170% resists is just lame. Enhanced mobs shouldn't overcap. Ever. And magic needs to actually be hard to resist but even harder to penetrate, dunno what happened there.
Immunities are important for balance though, as they prevent the highest aoe damage builds from having free reign of everything for free. They add to the strategic element of choosing your farming areas depending on your build as well. Beast is used for fanaticism. but yeah there are some energy shield items. Pretty sure POE has a similar scheme. Like assume a light sorc can only shred 25% resists endgame, the 95% stuff now has 70%, you can take it if you want but you'll still be incentivized to avoid those, but instead now those same sorcs break all resists to zero which is silly. Kind of a small pet peeve of mine in d2, lol My idea was never to actually buff nova types but nerf them while simultaneously buff builds with no shredding ability. Like say cold, fire, magic skills to bring these elements back up. Physical is just right in my opinion. As for beast being used only for fanaticism, my only contention is why even add skills to maul if using it is a non starter? Mercs can't use that, and i can't think of any serious build around it, which is in line with your criticism about how bad runewords are. Hell even bearform builds can't use maul, which is silly.
ps: the mods are studs but if they listened to what u said about almost everything especially baal area and souls , barb FI and starting off way too slow, LOD area needs something new, sorry but Dclone and Rathma are parts of the games that people play in the area of 20-30 of them… way too much. We need something for us who can’t play that much, uber ancients also kinda hard now and sorry but rewards kinda suck… There needs to be some end game content where the other 90% of us can indulge in and that would turn the game around and double play time… mapping gets boring too fast… even tho i love it in the first week. I did sooo many maps and got 10% map events.. maybe map events all over LOD content would be cool and fun
Stop talking about items sugestions, they really need to put some kind of content or progress caps. This season ended in 3 weeks. Maybe not put free content to do over and over again (it also gets boring) but maybe some end content locks, for example ubers weekly cooldowns even maps cooldowns by tiers like in WoW. But it needs to be progressive if the goal is to raise the active players, because market dies quick and players that dont have the time end up getting a hard time to get currency. That would be my biggest sugestion.
this happens with the ladder in any game unfortunately, but time-gated content is definitely not a diablo-like feature, and i wouldn't seek to promote it in a diablo game. I think instead of punishing the people that have too much time on their hands, there should just be more reward for playing at your own pace!
Things like nerfing Grandfather ed "to make other gear more competitive" - Why?? The weapon isn't op, so... The reason for nerfing is because it is popular, not overpowered and needs a nerf? I don't get it.
nerfs do happen every season. But given how tough the highest tiers of Uber Bosses are and Uber Ancients, even with full builds, it is likely the "power creep" you speak of only applies to mapping and only with select builds. These select builds will probably see reductions in effectiveness to promote new builds every season!
No. Bad idea. This skill is one of the hallmarks of Diablo 2. There is a mod though that does this, namely resurgence. If you are interested in limited mobility gameplay you can check out that one!

i feel like 1h palas has been completely neglected for several seasons now. Would really like to see a comeback of the 1h zealer from season 2.
this might be tough to pull off for paladins specifically now but it is true that 2-h is the way to go now!
It would be nice to have a potion auto pickup functionality like the gold pickup one. It's kinda tedious to pick potions to fill up belt slots

innocence probably just needs a flat heavy nerf sadly. and I saw that as someone who mained poison strike with it.

some seasons I kick ass and some I get nothing. keep an eye on that MF, dont rely on the maps alone.
Had the same experience in this season. If you dont get any good drops and get behind its so annoying. Stopped playing after 4 weeks

Mercs can't use that, and i can't think of any serious build around it, which is in line with your criticism about how bad runewords are. Hell even bearform builds can't use maul, which is silly.
Maybe I'm misreading, but you mention restoring Amp Damage to Exile, it never had that curse, it was Life Tap?
it did have this curse at one point in this mod for 2 seasons i think. It was nice when it did!

ps: the mods are studs but if they listened to what u said about almost everything especially baal area and souls , barb FI and starting off way too slow, LOD area needs something new, sorry but Dclone and Rathma are parts of the games that people play in the area of 20-30 of them… way too much. We need something for us who can’t play that much, uber ancients also kinda hard now and sorry but rewards kinda suck… There needs to be some end game content where the other 90% of us can indulge in and that would turn the game around and double play time… mapping gets boring too fast… even tho i love it in the first week.
I did sooo many maps and got 10% map events.. maybe map events all over LOD content would be cool and fun
Stop talking about items sugestions, they really need to put some kind of content or progress caps. This season ended in 3 weeks. Maybe not put free content to do over and over again (it also gets boring) but maybe some end content locks, for example ubers weekly cooldowns even maps cooldowns by tiers like in WoW. But it needs to be progressive if the goal is to raise the active players, because market dies quick and players that dont have the time end up getting a hard time to get currency.
That would be my biggest sugestion.
this happens with the ladder in any game unfortunately, but time-gated content is definitely not a diablo-like feature, and i wouldn't seek to promote it in a diablo game. I think instead of punishing the people that have too much time on their hands, there should just be more reward for playing at your own pace!

Things like nerfing Grandfather ed "to make other gear more competitive" - Why?? The weapon isn't op, so... The reason for nerfing is because it is popular, not overpowered and needs a nerf? I don't get it.

nerfs do happen every season. But given how tough the highest tiers of Uber Bosses are and Uber Ancients, even with full builds, it is likely the "power creep" you speak of only applies to mapping and only with select builds. These select builds will probably see reductions in effectiveness to promote new builds every season!

No. Bad idea. This skill is one of the hallmarks of Diablo 2. There is a mod though that does this, namely resurgence. If you are interested in limited mobility gameplay you can check out that one!
