1. Don't leave your camera gear in your car 2. Use an OLDER Camera bag/a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag 3. Until you need your Camera, keep your camera in your camera bag 4. Use a Camera Strap (preferably NOT the one offered by the manufacturer, unless you're eager to get robbed) 5. Always have an eye on your camera bag! 6. When in public areas, BE AWARE OF DISTRACTIONS! 7. At home, keep your camera gear hidden away (and spread your stuff around obviously!) 8. When on a plane, keep your camera gear with you! 9. Keep your camera bag IN FRONT OF YOU 10. Trust your intuition! (If it sounds dodgy, walk away ASAP)
Oh dam, didn't think I'd get a response, haha thanks man, yea I often think I'm over-worrying, but we do get some crazy people in London, have a few crackheads near me! Might sound like shameless plugging, but while I'm here, fancy checking out my photography page? :) facebook.com/MatthewKnightPhotography
I didn't think about spreading it around. I would advise registering your property onto www.immobilise.com/ as well. This connects to police databases as well as 'checkmend' (pawn shops use it), and marking/photographing the assets too.
Every camera bag should have a pocket for C4 and a remote detonator. If your bag gets stolen, wait 15 minutes and hit the app on your phone called “locate” very soon you will know what direction your bag went
Thanks man for the video I'm going to the world cup by land even though it's a safe country and allies with my country in the GCC I'm still worried because of the amount of foreigners.
my northface parka was taken in a packed postoffice when i was at the front counter and the i put the jacket right next to my leg lost my phone a psp and a £500 bracelet. some thieves are brilliant at taking things either have your hand on it or directly in your line of sight
Renters' insurance is a complete SCAM. Some lowlife loser broke into my vehicle and stole my Manfrotto tripod and a hat. I reported the theft to my insurance company and filed a police report, but since these two items were worth under $500 (I had a $500 deductible), the evil insurance company wouldn't cover these items. At least they covered the cost of the broken vehicle window. People really do suck.
