I've had my ENA8 for about a year now and love it. If it broke, I'd replace it the next day. We've also tried many, many beans and like the Jura 4 bean blend the best.
Using ground coffee, after setting the ground symbol, add the ground, shut the shute. How do I adjust the strength of the coffee ? ..by using the bean symbols or leave it at the ground symbol?
@ecscoffeeinc Is there a Jura machine that brews a shot of espresso with more than 10g? I've had my ENA4 6 mos, love it, but feel that the shot texture is a little on the 'thin' side, even at 3-bean setting. Could this be due to the PEP or small dose size? I am using quality beans in all cases. Thanks!!
If I like milk drinks for my espresso, does the jura e8 make better drinks or would it be better to buy the e4 and use a frother to make drinks and save the additional money? Wondering the quality of espresso between the two and is it worth the large price difference
The E8 has a larger capacity brewing chamber ..up to 16g vs the Ena which does only 10. So if you are a larger coffee drinker you would likely want the E8. If you just like espresso and americano and occasional milk beverages you could go with the E4
Also wondering if it's easy to switch from beans to ground coffee? Is it just a switch of the buttons or something more involved? We often drink both regular and decaf during the day, which is why the cup/capsule machines have been so convenient for us. Thanks!
Hi there. I just purchased the ENA 4 and am having trouble with pre-ground coffee. I tried making a black coffee a few times and it seems pretty watered down. Any suggestions?
Do you find the coffee and espressos strong enough on this machine. I like my coffee drinks really strong and the 10 grams seems a little small. Alternatively do you know when the jura E4 that they have listed on their website might be coming out? It seems like it is this machine but with a 16 gram capacity.
@@ecscoffeeinc For espresso shot 10g is ok? I want to buy this model, but I am a little bit afraid about this smaller (then classic models) brewing unit.
I have a ENA4 - I just wanted decent black quality coffee, on the fly….. It’s good but the timer functionality means it can stay on for you to 4 hours and then turns it’s self off. Once you’ve set a turn off time it’s not clear how to disable the auto turn off. Coffee tastes great. The addition of the ground coffee input is a great feature. It allows you to have your standard Beans in the top and when you fancy something a little different or a high caffeine blast in the morning, you can shovel in some ground coffee and bosh - you’re away. It looks OK, could look better I guess as a machine? It’s pretty noisy but I am being picky I guess. I’d have preferred a proper LCD screen instead of having to decide what 3 beans means on the screen. I managed to get mine during Black Friday for around £500!
Have you noticed a small pile of grounds on the back of the drip tray when you pull it out to empty it? I just got my Jura 4 a few days ago, and every time I empty the tray, there's a small pile of dry grounds on the cover at the back of the tray. As if some are bypassing the brewing mechanism somehow.
Is it normal about very noisy sound when the machine is working? I recently purchase and it is very noisy and making weird sound. I am wondering if it has problem with my jura ena 4
@@ecscoffeeinc right now I’m using ground coffee. I tried to set the machine as described. When button pressed to make espresso, the water started to deplete and no coffee came out.

It does not make an Americano. An Americano is espresso..then hot water added. The coffee function in this machine runs water through the grounds the entire time. Much appreciated!

Well done lady!
This will be most probably my first coffee machine
Besides medium roast, does ECS recommend any brands of specialty coffee for the ENA 4?
Using ground coffee, after setting the ground symbol, add the ground, shut the shute.

If you are using ground coffee you aren't able to adjust the strength unfortunately!

Yes there is! The Jura E4 will grind max 16g per cup :)

There is a bypass shoot for decaf ground...so very easy, no switching just pressing the buttons on the front past the strength button to the bypass!

Hmm. I own one. One level scoop of coffee in the bypass. Just make sure the grind is espresso grind. If coarse or regular it will be watery.

10g is too little.for me for a coffee...for Americano ok. That's the downside to this unit. As for a new one, this is the newest that I am aware of

That is normal. With grinders and brewing mechanisms it happens on all of them. Like trying to get sand out of your shorts after being at the beach :)

Is there a version of this with a milk frother?
Jura Ena 8. Costs more thought:)
@@ecscoffeeinc Does the ENA8 grind twice for a double espresso?
Been seeing commenters on other reviews reporting the ENA 4 leaks all over the counter. Has ECS heard this customer feedback? Or is that user error.
We have not heard this from our customers or experienced this on our demo! Hard to say whether it is user error or not but doesn't seem common to us.
What is the tallest size cup that could fit below?
4 inches easy, 4.5" angled to fit
What grinder setting is the best and what's the difference between
Depends.on the bean. I usually leave at factory with no issues
What's rhe maintenance routine?
Are Jura machines reliable?
Very reliable. The machine tells you what need to be done.
What coffee beans you recommend for jura ena 4
Depends where you live as per selection available. Use non oily beans, and look for espresso roasts.
What is the tallest height mug that will fit under the spout? Thanks!
75mm to 105mm or max 4.134 inches
This is what i need but will they update it for 2022? It was released in 2019
Doubt it...Jura tends to take more time between updates. Plus, with Covid we have not seen a tonne of new items

Not at all! Very easy!
