- 1. Fully charged battery.
2. Format the SD card in your HD2 Gopro using DELETE ALL function and then remove.
3. Using a CARD READER,transfer the HD2-Firmware.BIN file to the root section of any micro SD card.
4. Place the microSD in SD adapter , after into your GoProHD2 .
5. Press and continue to hold down the SHUTTER button while pressing the POWER button to turn the camera on, video camera ICON will show at front LCD, release power button continue to hold shutter button.
6. No 1 will appear at front small LCD display, press Power again, No 2 will appear, press power again. Camera will load the FW while showing the icon of a camera.... and red LED will blink for some seconds, then GoProHD2 shutdown . You are ready .
7. Remoove the CD card with the firmware and insert your memory card and camera will be ready for use.
great advice on re-flashing the firmware. I just reloaded the latest one and it fixed it. If it relapses, I'll try tp fomd an older version.
GoPro is a HD camera. People tend to take this for granted. To effectively use this camera to take and play back HD video you really need to have a computer or video player with an extremely fast clock speed. HD televisions work great. Trying to view HD video on gopro is basically useless even with a class 10 memory card. Always transfer the file to your high speed computer before attempting to play back.HD video. Hope this helps.

Check for faults. Make sure battery is sufficiently charged; make sure SD card has been formatted and is a class 10; make sure that you have the latest firmware; try pressing the reset button; if all else fails to resolve your problem, you may have to reset your camera to its factory defaults. If that doesn't work, return it to the store or gorpo.

I got my GoPro yesterday, but it wont let me open the SD card on my computer. When I try it says that it has to reformat the SD card. When I press "OK" It just says that windows cant reformate it :(
