It´s crazy to realise the Father´s heart for sinners. That He doesn´t want us to hide but come to Him. I LOVE this verse from the Psalm 51: "Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you."
Very insightful 🔥…..Eve’s motive revealed she had pride. Pride has always been a problem , the devil was prideful. We need to pray for humility always.
Thought it would be a simple topic to talk about and just came in to hear your thoughts. 5 min in and Izzi already stopped me in my tracks. It's quite difficult to navigate this as a (born again) Christian. I personally started with the 10 commandments as an obvious guide to honour Jesus. Then I was finally able to confess regularly, and only now am I open to see further sin I engage in, simply because of our human nature. How does one forgive oneself for constantly sinning? We just love the Lord so much it hurts to hurt Him
The more we look to Jesus the more we become like him. Don;t be too hard on yourself - as the guys said, there is grace and it is a journey with God. 🙏
I loved this video! Thank you guys for challenging me, my biggest take away is to not strive to just be a good person but to rest knowing Jesus has done everything for me, and to just do day to day life with him trying to become more like him. Praying for you guys to continue to grow in wisdom and love form and for Jesus. Stay blessed! 💖
Izzy started of great... but here's some food for thought. Psalm 119:172 "My tongue shall speak of thy word: For all thy commandments are righteousness." Psalm 119:96 "I have seen an end of all perfection: But thy commandment is exceeding broad." You see the righteousness of God which is expressed through His Law (The 10 commandments) is so vast that even the 10 commandments we have are but a glimpse of this infinite righteousness of God. Let's be careful to think that keeping the 10 is a simple task because if we have not grasped how righteous the Lord is, then best believe we have not grasped how sinful we are.... thus we may underestimate our sinfulness thinking we're good, but really we aren't... what we see is not what God sees... and its by God's standard that we are measured up against, not our own. Paul, David and Solomon will tell you that even the 10 commandments as miniscule as they may seem, are impossible to keep without the Lord's intervention... 2. Continuing on the point of vastness... the 10 commandments are but a summary. Leviticus Deuteronomy Proverbs Romans 1:18-32 Galatians 5:19 And many more passages elaborate on the 10 commandments... Finally Romans 12:3 "(for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." James 2:12 KJV So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty." The 10 are the standard by which we will be judged. We won't be justified by keeping the Law, but our obedience will be measured against this Law. Our faith will be measured against this Law. So if the Law is such a great deal despite it's simplicity... then it must be more vast and complex then we realize... Let's be careful to think they are easy lest we boast and meet our demise... Sin is the transgression of the law... 1 John 3:4 And all of us are guilty hence we need God, hence we need Jesus, hence we need the Holy Spirit, hence we need to be sanctified by the truth... without such that simple 10 is impossible to keep.
